Re: Holy Crap I am so happy!!!

I like the ride with the Blizzaks better than the stock Michelins. The rental and my Overland had the same tires I believe. After spending three days in the Overland now, I am liking the ride more. What is interesting, is that the increase "body movement" over the springs is more in rear squatting during starts, and nose diving during braking. Roll control is actually good for both suspensions. The air ride is really smooth, and I'm starting to really like that. I also really like lowering it when I park. I'm now recommending the QL over the springs even if you don't go off-road....

Like other people have said, the more I have the Jeep, the more I love it. The Overland in particular, with all the bells and whistles, is really nice. I could not be happier.

That's really great to hear, especially after reading all the "this doesn't work or that's broken" threads

My first impression of the WK2 when I drove it was how softly it seemed to be sprung but after some additional, longer demo drive you realize they did a great job managing things like pitch and yaw and the darn thing stays pretty well planted where you point it without rattling your fillings over every little expansion joint. For me it's a modern luxury sedan that I can hook up to my toys and haul them around.

I don't want a truck and up until this point only the Porsche/VW/Audi triplets fit the bill for me. The other larger SUV's are trucks in drag, they aren't what I wanted. It's great to have an American made SUV that can run with the best of them for a fraction of the cost.

I came from a Raptor into mine with the QL.......this thing doesn't have near the body roll, brake dive, acceleration nose jump the Raptor did..LOL

You're right about ambient light affecting the auto high beams. Some stationary signs will affect them (but they are good at discriminating). And they will not be active just at dusk, but only when it gets darker.

And one more thing with the auto high beams: they only become active above about 40kph (about 25 mph or so). So if you are just creeping around, only low beams will be on. Sort of a pain when you might be trying to read a street sign in suburbia, but easy enough to flip off the 'auto' switch position in that case.

Re: Holy Crap I am so happy!!!

Would you mind adding some photos when you have a moment? i ordered my summit with mineral grey/ brown saddle but have not seen that combination except for dealer stock photos... would like to see some "real world" photos with that color combo.

And jonesark, for the auto hi beams, make sure you have not only the rotary knob set to 'Auto', but also the steering wheel stalk pressed forward into the hi beam position (otherwise the beams just stay low). Finally, make sure the windshield is clear up around the central rearview mirror, where the sensor is. Good luck!
LOL Thanks, I love this. Never knew I had this feature until tongiht. Works great. thanks for posting.
