How are you guys doing?

I had to depart from my WK2 overland due to a series of issues I had with it. Since there are so many on the roads, I alway look at them with a hint of nostalgia. Like watching an old girlfriend passing by.

I hope that the issues I had were fixed, but mostly, I hope that the dealers get their sh... together, and learn how to service the customers.

Unfortunately I found a good dealer on the day I departed from mine, but if I ever go back to Jeep, it will be due to the people at Jeep's customer service. They are always very concerned about your issues, and they try to help you as much as they can, even if they cannot, they make you feel better. Also the guys in the Service contract department. Some of the cases managers, and this last dealership I saw. And of course this forum.

I went German for now( for the next 3 years at least), but I will be following all the new developments with the wk2.....

Very nice . I thought I was the only one impressed by VW. Did you get a Passat too or something else? Did you get your car already or still waiting for delivery? I hate the waiting game... it's the WORST thing ever.

I needed two cars so I went with a Jetta and A CC(the only real german, the other one is made in Mexico,but at least thy make the Passat here).

they drive nice but I already miss the ventilated sits, auto-dimming rearview mirrors, panoramic sunroof, etc etc..... and the hemi sound... Oh well I can enjoy the better MPG. and the view of my lovely wife (she made me write this)

CC is a nice car BUUUUTTTT what a way to kill the rear seat. I mean if you're going to make a 4 door sedan, why not be able to appropriately sit 3 people in the back? What was the purpose of that weird useless cup holder in the middle of the back seat? That was the ONLY reason why I shed away from the CC otherwise it's a great car.

Passat's new plant is in Chattanooga Tennessee. Technically now we have the best of both world, German engineering and parts but American assembled.

I do not really mind it. It is less death weight I may have to haul around (HINT: INLAWS LOL)

I use it to commute and I am getting about 35mpg on hwy (30 miles one way), so I am saving quite a lot compared to the 20mpg I was getting with the wk2 Hemi.

By the way I got Black on Black, so I do not have the two tones color for the sits.

If I get another WK2, I will also get a black one. Hopefully when the leases are up for the vw, the wk2 will have the 8 speeds and the diesel engine out...

Re: How are you guys doing?

The rear seat packaging is VW's way of saying, "this is our more affordable Merc CLS".

Merc CLS;
