Re: How does Limited vs. Overland ride?

I have had both. I had a Limited with the 18's and now a Overland with the 20's. I would agree that the wheels and tires make more of a difference. On smooth roads the air suspension I think has a little edge in the ride where the Limited with the 18's would take the bumps better on rough roads. I have also noticed with the air suspension the outside temp seems to make a difference in the ride with it being stiffer when it is hot out.

Re: How does Limited vs. Overland ride?

The 18's are quieter than the 20's. There is a lot more road noise transmitted into the cabin with the 20's, but the ride is better with the air.

Re: How does Limited vs. Overland ride?

This member went from a 2011 limited to a 2012 overland and said the ride is smoother on the air suspension. Its all preference..

Also search the forums, this has definitely been discussed a lot back fall.

Re: How does Limited vs. Overland ride?

Seems to me alot of people are trying to convince themselves that the Limited has a better ride than Jeeps top of the line Overland...hahahha keep telling yourself that people...if you wanted a smooth luxury ride you should have just ponied up the money and got the Overland. My Overland 4x4 rides smoother than anything I have ever sat my butt in and I test drove the Limited model also when i was looking....you people are really reaching if you believe the Limited has a better ride. Hahaha but you can believe it if it make you feel better

Re: How does Limited vs. Overland ride?

I think your the one that's fooling yourself. I have an Overland and it does ride good, but before this I had a Limited that had a little better ride. The difference is in the wheels the 18's give a lbetter ride. If both had the same wheels the ride would be about the same. I don't see a lot of people on here saying the Limited has a better ride they are just concerned about having problems with QL.

Re: How does Limited vs. Overland ride?

I just picked up my Overland with the QL Air Suspension system.

It is extremely smooth and far more stable than I expected. I'm coming from a 2005 Toyota 4Runner with the X-REAS suspension system that keeps it very flat when making turns. I seriously didn't expect onroad performance quite as good with the WK2 but was very pleasantly surprised. My Overland actually takes corners better than my 4Runner did.

Have both here. Both with 20" wheels. Between our 2, the Overland rides better.

Agreed. Air suspension rides better, it further prevents pitch and sway, not just makes the bumps feel smoother. It's what else the Overland does.

I love how the Overland automatically drops into "arrow dynamic" mode and lowers the vehicle for highway driving once you hit 60.

I managed to get my '11 vanilla limited for $55k drive away and it arrives next week! Very excited.

$55k for a Limited? Where do you live, Canada? Australia?
