I know what the autobahn is I lived in Germany for four years. I don't see driving faster than 110 mph in a JGC. That's crazy.

Re: How fast does your jeep go ?

The WK2 is capable of higher speeds with the tires being he limiting factor,

I would not have governor removed unless I made sure I had two things in place:

1. V rated tires

2. Export/HD spec brakes

Re: How fast does your jeep go ?

I have had mine to 170km/h and it was stable and felt fine. This was only for a short overtaking manoeuvre on a straight road.

Mongoose9400 is an unknown quantity at this point
The WK2 SRT can hit over 160mph. They are stable as well. But they are built for those speeds. I drive mine regularly at 100-120ish and I don't bat an eye. Without looking at the speedo you wouldn't know you were going that fast.

Re: How fast does your jeep go ?

SRT is also lower and has extra pieces to control air flow under the body.

For a popular description see here but over the ton aerodynamic lift starts to become important. This is the reason for some of the strange motions (e.g. Carl Edwards incident) seen in NASCAR.

Of course the only real way to know is with a wind tunnel & strain gauges on each wheel. I suspect Chrysler has that information.

Personally am more interested in how it acts when pulling a trailer at 70.

Re: How fast does your jeep go ?

My 2012 hemi Overland topped out at about 112 limited by computer. Went right to that w/o any flat spots. Tires are stock Latitude Tours T-rated so limit is warranted. Vehicle was as quite and smooth as 85 mph. No need to go that fast again but had clear interstate and no cars around. Keep my tire psi at about 36. Out west common speeds are 80 mph with quick squirts higher - no need for an SUV to go much faster but nice to know it can when you're passing on a 2 lane in Reservation country.
