That gives me some hope...

You're not built yet.....D1 lasts usually up to like 2 weeks. MDH is when "in production" and the frame and body are mated to make it officially a vehicle and yours hasn't even started being built yet.

Supposedly orders that are scheduled for production (which his is) cannot be canceled. If it can't b canceled I bet it can't b changed either.

Hope I'm wrong and you get your CD player.

As I said, I'm hoping that my request has already been addressed days ago. IMO, a local rep should know that time is of the essence and it shouldn't take him an entire week to change an order.

Re: How long can orders be changed?

The powers that be can change any order with a key stroke until actually starting down the line. After that, they need a runner to run down to the line! Let's hope you had the right contact.

Over the last week, I contacted my dealer virtually every second day and asked about my change (or if he heard back from the rep, to be exact). All I got in response every time was "no news yet".

Let's see what he's going to reply to my slightly more urgent e-mail with the VIN and D1-status I sent him this evening. "No news" won't cut it this time - I will demand a clear answer.

If he answers "no news", tell him to get off his lazy butt and make a phone call! That's all it should take to get a yes or no answer.

Mine does...assuming that hasn't changed since MY12 (and I don't think it has), you'll have a USB port in there for charging in addition to the 12v round. I use mine occasionally when I want my WiFi hot-spot active in my vehicle while traveling. The USB port is at the rear of the top tray.

For MY14/15 it just moved to the front of armrest cargo bin. OP hear's a link to your manuals so you can "pre-study" as you are jonesing for your rig.

Re: How long can orders be changed?

^^^ If you are thinking about a back up plan for a CD player, in 2014 Jeep eliminated the hook ups in the center armrest bins (where the CD would go) and instead but the hook ups in the lower center dash console storage bin - the one with the little door that flips up in front of the shifter.

Breaking news++++breaking news++++breaking news+++breaking news++++breaking news++++breaking news++++breaking news++++breaking news++++breaking news+++breaking news

Since I didn't receive a reply to my last e-mail I sent yesterday evening, I decided to pay my local dealer a short visit. The moment I went into the dealership, I spotted my SA. He was standing next to somebody's office and - believe it or not - this guy was on the phone, talking to the regional Chrysler-rep. 20 seconds later, he hung up and............

I GOT THE CD-PLAYER!

They managed to get it in. The guy told me that it would take some time before it would show up in the system but they def. managed to put it in.

My SA told me I need to promise him that I would actually use it...

NOW, I'm happy!
