Ditto

Ordered a white overland, blue/brown interior, advanced tech package. Six weeks and counting. At least my jeep has Zhe Wiz's jeep to keep it company in Michigan.

Re: How long did it take to build and deliver your GC?

My new Limited was ordered on 3/23/2014. They showed ordered as the status on VOTS until last Monday. It was pretty much built last week and inspected on Friday. It showed that it went to shipping on Friday afternoon.

I'm eagerly waiting for delivery. This is the fifth week since order.

My Limited is Pentastar V6, ORAI, Tow Package, 8.4NAV, sunroof, deep cherry red.

Based on how things go where I work, I think it gets you in the system quicker if you make your deal at the end of the month (quarter in this case) and it gets into manufacturing toward the end of the month. Its a sales/production goals thing. Of course that might not work to our advantage. We've always heard about things being built on Friday afternoons!

Re: How long did it take to build and deliver your GC?

^^^^^^^

If the dealer enters it as a SOLD order which gets priority "1" it does get built faster. For example. My ordered an identical Jeep as my order for dealer stock two weeks before my order was officially placed....my sold order leap frogged that dealer stock order (Milous was tracking that order for me too). That dealer stock order took over three weeks longer to get to the dealership... 5 weeks versus 8+ weeks.

Re: How long did it take to build and deliver your GC?

Ordered on Apr 7th, scheduled for production the 11th, and today (May 2) its being built. So hopefully 2 more weeks to delivery??

Funny thing is I emailed the dealer early yesterday on a status update, and still haven't heard back. Without the update, I would be pretty frustrated today...lol

What did you order?

Anyone know if more options = more time?

I ordered on 4/17 with only one option, so I'm hoping it's faster than "normal."

Re: How long did it take to build and deliver your GC?

From what I understand, they do try to "batch" similar builds together but that has to do more with parts in stock then actual production differences. Exterior color for sure has nothing to do with it. Marlon had posted that what vehicle comes down the line varies from one to another so building similar builds together really isn't a strong consideration except again perhaps having the parts in stock.

I think the strongest way to get yours built as soon as possible is to have the order entered as a "SOLD" order with priority "1" when the dealer places the order. Other than that....it seems to be just a logistics program they are using. Having fewer options may get it scheduled a bit quicker simply because they will more definitely have all the parts in stock than with one with all the options probably so they can release it for build sooner....but probably not by much.

Oh the wait..........arrrrgh.

Sweet, that's what I was looking to get, but I liked the added options in the Limited. Post pics!

Re: How long did it take to build and deliver your GC?

Update: My build seems to be moving along fast now. Final inspection showed yesterday, and today it shows status as shipment. Not sure if that means its being prepared to ship, or if its actually being shipped today. Either way its progress i guess.

Update: Still haven't heard back from my dealer on status...lol Not a good sign for future service issues.

After a month of showing scheduled production I get an email and check the status and it jumped right to Shipment. So hopefully I will get mine in a couple weeks as well
