How many miles have you driven on a single tank?

I got my 2014 Limited a little over a month ago. My current record is 509 miles. I think I'm going to beat it as I'm nearing the end of my current tank. Probably 70% city 30% highway. Always on Eco.

It's amazing to see how many of you have Diesel JGC's. It really is impressive on the distance you can achieve. Keep the stats coming in everyone!
Outside of North America, a very large percentage of JGC are diesel and have been for years. That ratio will grow here, too.

Went on a trip to DC and went approximate 500 miles and the light never came on.. Filled it up around 536 (after the light came on) but could have stretched it even further but saw a gas station with a rediculus price so I couldn't resist..

Plus wifey saying how we are going to run out also pushed me to abandon my experiment.

Why? You are effectively carrying half a tank of fuel you never plan to use.

Better safe than sorry. I guess.

I agree though when I'm on the highway I like to have at least a 1/4 tank. I've been stuck on the the interest several times before for hours and saw several people run out. By 1/4 tank left I usually need to get out anyways as I've gone 400+ miles.

2012 Overland Diesel 5 speed, I made it from Birdsville to Port Augusta, a little bit of side tracking, so over 900k's on a tank one day, fully loaded after a Simmo Crossing, spare wheel and jerries on the roof, over 500k's of that on the Birdsville Track too-lots of slowing and speeding up due to wash outs (track had been closed due to rain few days prior) , air con and cooled Seats blasting as it was 40°C. EVIC said I still had 160k's left 😀

Who keeps resurrecting these old old threads?

My record was in my 2014 3.6, 591 miles with about 2 gallons left. Almost 26mpg.
