I got my 2014 Limited a little over a month ago. My current record is 509 miles. I think I'm going to beat it as I'm nearing the end of my current tank. Probably 70% city 30% highway. Always on Eco.
Range was 728 on a fill-up (according to the computer), I did 690 bladder-busting miles before refilling - drove from home up to the cabin and back down to Wausau.
Since the gas in your tank helps cool your fuel pump, it's probably not a good idea to run your tank down to fumes very often. This might reduce the life of your fuel pump. This has been discussed at length on the web.
Just one discussion: Running close to empty will ruin fuel pump? - Car Talk
1,111km (690 miles), I squeezed 90l of fuel into the tank, so that meant there was at least 2l left in the tank and could have done another 25km until fully empty.
Another Diesel driver here: On two occasions (different fillups, same 2500+ mile round trip) this summer, I had the miles traveled on the tank + range break 900 miles.
As far as filling up goes, I know I have gotten well into the 600's on a tank, but not yet 700. I try not to let it get below 1/4 tank too often...
The '14 Hemi with ECO on, modest hills only on wide open freeways at 75 mph should be able to bust 500, but the areas where that's possible tend not to have a lot of gas stations every few feet or so, so you'll all have to just pardon me if I am not stupid enough to even try it where it is over 100 miles to anywhere...
Do we really need another pissing contest about diesel vs petrol??????
No, so fkn stop it.
You have your car, I have mine, I don't care what or why you got what you did, I don't drive your car, and you don't drive my car, so move on.
Well, you could post how many miles per gallon you get towing silly ass furriners trying to measure stupid things like miles per tank to the nearest gas station...
I have a Grand Cherokee Limited 2014, 3.6 gas, my wifes parents live exactly 729 kms from home and we do it with one tank ..but we get there running on fumes.
Average speed is 100 km/h per GPS, top speed on the trip is 195 kmh.
Rgds and have a great weekend.
I regularly get over 400 miles on a tank and always fill before it hits 1/4. Besides, come the apocalypse I'll be able to run on the product of a backyard still.
