How Many Miles Per Fill Up?

I've been having an internal debate between getting an Overland with the Hemi (For Fun) or V6 (for better MPG). One of the recent WK2 TV spots stated that the Pentastar can get over 500 miles per tank, which is pretty incredible!

On average, how many miles can you get per fill up with your V6 or Hemi? Please state your engine in your post.

V6 I am around high 400s. A bit of driving cruising at 60/65 with some suburban driving.

Re: How Many Miles Per Fill Up?

I was right in your shoes going back and forth in my mind. My V6 gets high 400s with 70% city driving. It's got about 800 miles at this point. I think all highway that 500 miles is possible.

I am getting same with 80%+ city/suburban. Light footed driver. I think the V6 is great unless you have a heavy trailer or are at high altitude.

Loaded 750lbs.+ of top soil in the back last week and it drove like it was empty (with respect to power, ride and handling) with negligible effect on gas mileage.

Re: How Many Miles Per Fill Up?

V6 all highway is definitely able to get over 500.

Re: How Many Miles Per Fill Up?

V6 - High 400's in town and if I drove all highway it would be well over 500, probably 550.

Re: How Many Miles Per Fill Up?

V8 - usually the low fuel light comes on around 300 miles with 95% city driving. On road trips, I've gotten over 500 miles before the low fuel light came on.

I have the V8 and got the same until I started using synthetic oil and now I get almost a get almost 350 in the city with a little over 8,200 miles. At first miliage seems bad then....you will see an increase after the first oil change.
