The price of the fuel is fairly close country wide; it's the state fuel taxes causing the majority of the differences.

$1.89 for 87 in Oklahoma. Needs to get up, it's getting tight in the Bible Belt.

$1.89? WOW! Enjoy it because here in NorCal Bay Area it's $3.00 to $3.50, and diesel is around $3.50 to $3.75 depending upon station.

Nobody gets screwed more than California residents, with the exception of New York from time to time. We have a major refinery 45 minutes away and I've heard the argument that part of the higher costs are due to transport. Even with CA taxes at $.60 plus cents that's still a huge difference in price.

Doesn't California gas have to be some type of special "blend" in order to satisfy all of the whining liberal greenies in that state?
