Low gas prices do have a downside. Places like Texas and Alaska would inevitably lose jobs (if prices continue to decline estimated 30k + will see unemployment) and adding instability to the market place. Sure, I've been shorting the shit out of it since July, but a lot of people haven't.

Not gonna lie, it feels good to fill her up for like $50 in NJ...

Perhaps, but every Alaska citizen will collect over $2K from oil royalties, for just sitting around scratching their asses.

Re: How much are you paying at the pump to fill up?

Here in Montreal, the price this morning for regular gas was $1.16/liter which is a bit lower than it has been lately.

Converting that to US figures where:
$1.00 CAD = $0.7467 USD;
1 liter = 0.2642 US gal.

So, we get $3.28 USD per US gal.

$1.99 at the Fairfax VA Costco yesterday. Local Sunoco is $2.49. I can't figure out how Costco can sell gas for $.50 per gallon less than Sunoco. Must be a loss leader for them.

Re: How much are you paying at the pump to fill up?

Last week, 2.11 for mid-grade for the Hemi.

A new Costco opened near me though and I think regular was 1.77... not sure if they have mid-grade though.

Re: How much are you paying at the pump to fill up?

$2.14 for diesel at the Blu station. I have to use the donkey dick adapter that makes pumping slow. I think their fuel might be crappy. Now that I say that, are there crappy/inefficient diesel fuels out there like gas that has a lot of ethanol?

Here in Australia it's currently around $1.30 a litre. Conveying back to USD and US gallons it works out to about $5 a gallon. In Europe it's nearly twice that.
