The Costco by me has 91 Premium, (93 isn't available), for $1.79, .04 cents less. I just can't seem to get past the $55.00 a year membership to get it. I'd have to burn 1,375 gallons to break even!

Unless you have a 93 tune you would be blowing your extra money right out your tail pipe with absolutely zip benefit...your 5.7 factory tune is for 87 during "normal" ops and 89 under load (towing, performance, etc...), technically 91 is a waste of coin too...

Re: How much are you paying at the pump to fill up?

paid $1.36 at shell on 87. saw sams club had it at $1.29, crazy how low will it go. so if oil hits $20 a barrel like some are saying wonder if that will equate to gas for 99 cents?

yeah, it's a confusing equation with China not consuming like everyone was hoping for...my son is a sophomore at Univ of Texas Austin and boy how the moods have changed amongst the "oil" students...he's CE/EE and Navy ROTC so he's good.

Yeah it's nice for consumer gas price but from an industry standard point this is devastating to the US. But that's precisely what the Arabs are trying to do regardless of what is being said in the press. Devastate the local petroleum, fracking and alternative fuels industries, they will take a little bit less now and then take it back up to $4.00 in a few years.

A lot of stations around here don't sell "Mid Grade" 89. You have to go with either 87 or 91. The engine won't give peak performance on 87, so 91 it is.
