Re: How much are you paying at the pump to fill up?

5 pm tonight - 89 octane for $3.69 a gallon for 20.7 gallons, total $76.50. I didn't have any discounts, that's just the price here in Omaha today.

Re: How much are you paying at the pump to fill up?

Last fill up, I paid 3.99/gal, cost me $70. Most I've paid was $80 at something like 3.95/gal, was down to like an 8th of a tank though, give or take.

Nor do we have any Sales tax. Still I complain about gas prices...

Re: How much are you paying at the pump to fill up?

I think I read somewhere that the price of gas actually went down over time, meaning inflation adjusted gas is less expensive than 30 years ago, is that right?
I guess when compared to Orange Juice it's still cheap, right?

I'd say gas is not too expensive but car manufacturers need to come
up with new gas saving technologies so we can use gas in the future for more important things...

Me for my part I want a twin turbo charged 3l diesel.

Re: How much are you paying at the pump to fill up?

Last weekend, for regular gas, $1.75 per litre!

That's around USD$7- per gallon.

A new SRT8 is looking less attractive by the day

Re: How much are you paying at the pump to fill up?

Since the '70s when both were around 79c/gal I have been finding that milk and gas prices were about the same. Until now. Last weekend I paid $2.84 for a gallon of milk, $3.83 for a gallon of 87, and $4.17 for a gallon of diesel.

What are the pump octane ratings in Canada & is leaded available ?

Re: How much are you paying at the pump to fill up?

Today, here in southern Ontario, Canada, regular (87 oct) now at $1.40/litre = $5.30/US gal.
89 octane is 6 cents/litre more, ie. $1.46/L = $5.50/gal
91 octane is 12 cents/litre more, ie. $1.52/L = $5.75/gal
