Re: How much did you pay for your new GC High Altitude?

Received an offer for a new 2015 HA with HK audio, 4x4, no tow package, 150 miles on odometer, MSRP 50,880. Selling price 44,200 + TTL. Thoughts?

Other offers I've received - 2016 HA 4x2 MSRP 47,685, selling price 43,900 + TTL; 2016 HA 4x2 with tow MSRP 48,880, selling price 44,500 + TTL.

44,200 on that 4x4 is very good and it has tow package standard hidden in the bumper.

I would go with the 2015 4x4 if it were me (unless you need to tow - but others seemed to imply that all 4x4 overlands came with tow...). But I live where it snows and I don't think you could sell a 4x2. That said, the HK audio is a pretty awesome sweetner by itself.

As for price, I think you could do better on the 2015. Someone posted a 2015 Summit a week ago on a lot in CA (Huntington Beach if I remember) for 39k. I would think a HA should be able to be near that range on a 2015 closeout (2017's will be hear in less than 2 months).

As for the other 2 prices. Those seem really high for 4x2's. I just did a quick check and my local dealer has two 4x4 HA's for around 45k and that is the list price (no negotiation). Seems like 4x2 should be at least 3-4k less....

Also, don't be afraid of looking at dealers that aren't close to home. Shipping on the same side of the US is around $500. And if you can find a much lower price you can take that to your local dealer and ask them to match. A lot of times they will.

I'd say if you knock a grand off it would be a good deal...I got a 15 ha 4x4 no HK 4 months ago and it was 43. HK is 800 bucks.

Make sure to sign up on Jeep's website for promotional materials (via snail mail). They periodically send out mailers that have additional cash allowance. I have one sitting on my fridge that is for an additional $500 on any Jeep/Chrysler/Dodge/RAM (except 200 and dart). It's not a ton more, but every bit counts....

Re: How much did you pay for your new GC High Altitude?

When I got mine back in September, I paid $48,500 (sticker $54,175 - Hemi/HK).

Not sure if I could have done better as there was literally only 1 exact match for what we wanted within a large radius.

Even that wound up getting sold before our salesman could get it from the other dealer, so he wound up having to do a bunch of trades to finally get it from somewhere in Vermont.
