Internet prices are usually the lowest they will open negotiations. Research how they compare to the market using TrueCar. Some dealers really price aggressively online and are savvy to work with you via email without bull sh*t. I state up front email negotiating only and that I'm in a hurry. If they get it they stay on you to agree on price.

Question for all of you guys, are the sales prices you've paid including incentives or is that how far you got the dealer down on negotiations?

Re: How much did you pay for your new GC High Altitude?

When's the next big rebates coming on 2016 models, Labor Day? I imagine those may be the best ones out of the year since its when all the 2017 are on the lots or coming in?

I have found no one will go any lower via email on there advertised web price. I guess my plan will be find the lowest prices online for the same exact vehicles/options and go to two or 3 of them and see what happens.

Play all the dealers against each other via their online pricing.

Re: How much did you pay for your new GC High Altitude?

Some dealers show fairly competitive prices on their websites, some (few) show MSRP only, and some show a price that includes every conceivable rebate of which almost nobody qualifies for all of them (a deceptive tactic I'm not fond of).

My advice: look at the appropriate 2016 or 2017 threads started by Milous. Add up the invoice price for everything you want. Multiply that by .97 to .93 and you will be at a very to extremely competitive base price. Rebates comes off that but you'll need to add $995 for destination charges and any tax, title, tag, and dealer processing fee. Dealer fees vary so when comparing prices, ignore tax, title, and tags since that is static but include the dealer fee and $995 destination fee.

Re: How much did you pay for your new GC High Altitude?

That is one approach but I would use invoice price less published factory to consumer rebates, and factory to dealer rebates (harder to find but try Edmunds), and then triangulate on a price using TrueCar and other market driven pricing sources. You can try researching the hold back on the Grand Cherokee but it is very hard to get low enough to cut into it unless you're buying on a month end close day and they're desperate. Grand Cherokees still sell well so they aren't giving them away.

Re: How much did you pay for your new GC High Altitude?

Hi Everyone...newbie here. Looking to purchase a new 16 HA 4X4 V8 this month. Just checking if there are any recent purchase numbers for reference. Are people getting great deals with the 16's going out? In the LA/OC area. Thanks!
