5.7 Hemi

1) How long have you had it? --> 10 Months
2) How many miles are on it? --> 24,000 miles
3) What kind of issues have you had if any? --> Zero issues (except the lack of time I have to mod)

Re: How Reliable has your WK2 been? Post up!

1 - Bought Sept. 20, 2011 - Laredo X, 4x4, 5.7
2 - 16,500 miles
3 - Issues: two rattles (first in steering column, fixed on third attempt; second in passenger side door or passenger headrest, unresolved, but not a big deal); also need to get driver seat fixed (TSB on slightly loose seat, also not a big deal). Will get those resolved at scheduled servicing next month.

Otherwise, have absolutely loved it. Would really like to have an extra gear or three... but it's still a great drive.

Minor trim issues including trim around steering wheel not flush, cooled seat making noise, had brkn plastic in it, and plastic cowl trim under wipers was warped and replaced and now warped again. Overall more issues than my '06 SRT8 Jeep but I can kind of understand being a first model year.
How badly was your cowl trim under the wipers warped? I just noticed that the trim has pulled away from the glass slightly along about a 2-3 inch section under the driver's side wiper. I am wondering if I should make a stink to the dealer about this, especialy since you said your replacement also warped. It doesn't seem serious, but I know water is getting in between the glass and the trim (going where I don't know)

Re: How Reliable has your WK2 been? Post up!

Laredo 4x4, 8 months, 5000 miles. No issue at all. Rock solid to me. And surprisingly, I got 23.4 mile/gallon with 3/4 free way and 1/4 local drive. Not sure if that is real.

I chose Laredo base model simply because I was worried about Chrysler quality. Car with less options has less stuffs to break. That proved to be true so far

Thumbs up Re: How Reliable has your WK2 been? Post up!

3.6L / 29,980 miles,(8 1/2mnths) many snowy mtn passes, pulling 5K wake boat (when my chevy's in the shop)...IE: gets a workout often.

Problems:
@700 miles tranny gasket blew had it towed to the dealer, had a sharpe cut(from factory) replaced gasket and back on the road (1 day) no damage.

@28K mysterious tear in outer CV boot (left side) dealer cant order boot only has to order new half shaft with boots...glad its still covered under warranty...

Other than these issues...LOVE IT! even with the issues. haha

Wow the dealer replaced both front seats due to dye from jeans? Usually it cleans out. Good to hear though

Re: How Reliable has your WK2 been? Post up!

V6 Overland black / saddle QL

1 month
2K
No problems

Same mods; required (in Holland) rear fog lamp. First they installed one hanging under the rear bumper . Now they have replaced it for the reflectors. ( taken of a European model )
Front fog lamp ( left) did not work, loose cable.
Tow hook electrics must still be converted to European specs

Re: How Reliable has your WK2 been? Post up!

11 months 15k miles
No problems. Love this ride.
The LED's in the door panels did not work. Dealer did the flash after some coaching thay now work and look great.
Did the armrest flash myself and now the bluetooth streaming works without playing too fast and skipping. The only thing now it automatically turns on my music player on my phone. I get out the car and my phone's music player is running in the background draining my battery. I'm learing to live with it.

Re: How Reliable has your WK2 been? Post up!

5.7 V8
Had it for 8 months
The vehicle is great, no issues. But I hate the RER media/nav unit, it is old technology and the user interface is horrible.
