Re: How to remove chrome window trim

Most here have not removed the trim but have gotten the trim vinyl wrapped in gloss black. The result looks really good. And, I believe, isn"t too expensive. Not sure how it holds up over time though. Maybe someone that has done it will come in and comment on that for us

Re: How to remove chrome window trim

Most "chrome mitigation" requires painting or wrapping or removing in the case of badges. You can buy replacement mirrors, grill and grill mesh if you don't want to deal with paint or wrap. I don't believe there is any non-chrome window trim, so paint or wrap is necessary.

I wanted to remove them for wrapping, cause I want to do it during the winter time, but wrapping in cold temperatures is nearly impossible.

I know the wks are hold on by clips and tape form what another member did to paint them. Front two have both and the back windows are just with tape.

Window trim is my last chrome I want to get rid off. Anything else is recovered or blacked out with wrap.
