How would jeep do?

I am impressed by Subaru capabilities after watching this video.

How would Jeep's QT1 or QT2 handle this. Would it be able to perform at least as well as the Subaru? (no low range to keep it fair)

Re: How would jeep do?

The subaru is a light duty road system, the Jeep would blow it away. Jeep would perform much better. Throw some rocks or mud on there and see how well the subaru does , the jeep won't be breaking a sweat .

The subaru has a pretty good system for a car.

Re: How would jeep do?

Interesting that they did not include a Jeep in the comparison. Maybe it is because they wanted to use vehicles that could beat easily.

Re: How would jeep do?

What tyre pressures were they running in the others?

Subarus are very good, but I would have expected the RAV4 to successfully negotiate that too.

The others are awd systems that have a bias to front wheel drive.

Re: How would jeep do?

i traded a 2010 subaru outback diesel for my loredo. No point dreaming about it the subaru could drive all day at 120kmh plus on dirt or gravel or whatever and would make anyone a rally driver. On the rough stuff the all wheel drive was very capable but overall the jeep is built like a truck in comparison. Its not a car I would choose as an offroader as such. Beach and dirt roads no worries. long trips on corrugations etc would not be ideal.

Re: How would jeep do?

Did anybody else note that there was moisture on the camera for the CRV and Rogue? I wonder if those made it up the hill in the dry. Also, the Tribeca was edited near the top of the hill - wonder what they cut out. I also wonder about the tire choices on all those cars. That could make a significant difference.

The jeep was notable by its exclusion. I would say the QT2 is not a direct competitor, but the QT1 is. I suspect you dust them.

They could have at least included the Trail Rated Patriot .
