Thanks for the review PhillyAnt -- very helpful and much appreciated!

I'm glad that people are finding the video helpful!

And please don't gouge your ears out! lol

I was trying to come up with a quite background instrumental. Something that is similar to what you would see on the "How They Built It" TV shows. That was my end product. I will take some requests for the next video I make. What would you like? Maybe some Pennsylvania Polka?

the music you used reminded me of the clip they used on the GEICO caveman commercial, where he was riding the people mover at the airport

Ha, I was thinking it sounded more like the "Local Forecast" section on the Weather Channel from the early '90s.

(but I kid about the music, just an annoyance, not that bad)

Re: Husky Weatherbeater/X-Act Contour Video Comparison Review

Thanks, your video really helped me see the differences between the two mats. I am happy that there doesn't seem to be much of a coverage difference between the two.

My car currently has the Weatherbeaters front and rear. I love the coverage, color, and pattern on them. Mine have started to warp away from the transmission tunnel as you noted that some do in the video. They're also pretty scuffed up, but still are completely servicable and don't look bad yet.

Are you planning on keeping both sets and doing more of a long term test, or are you going to return the one you don't like?

I'm curious about how the x-act contours wear long term. Do they get scuffed? Rubber start to crack? Does dirt stick to it / hard to clean? Color fade?

haha yep! On a side note, outside of my successful weight loss business, I have been a DJ for over 20 years. I love all types of music. Even the Geico commercial music

It's all good. I didn't take it as anything negative

I am not sure if I am going to keep them both, return one set, or return them all. I'm definitely keeping the Mopar mat for the cargo area. I am having trouble deciding which one of the Husky's I like the best. I really wish the Mopar had better coverage because I like the look of them over the Husky brand. Especially with the Grand Cherokee and Jeep printed on them both.

I think the X-Act Contours would last a lot longer and stay in better shape than the Weatherbeaters. I don't think they will ever warp. The material seems to be very durable. Soft, but strong at the same time. Yes, it does scuff just as easily as the Weatherbeaters. I am wondering if Armor All would help with that. I wish they were as dark as the Weatherbeaters. They are more of a very dark gray. I also wish they were molded the same way. The Weatherbeaters have a more aggressive look, which I prefer.

I am really torn between them all. I am going to try to make a decision this week. I have had them in the boxes. I haven't driven with any of them. I just took them out to make the video and then put them right back in their boxes.

Holy crap! I just looked these up...and it looks like you can get the Mopar for ~$60 for the set, whereas the X-Act's are $200!!!

That's a HECK of a difference! I know you said the Mopar's don't cover as good, but dang, is it worth the extra money to go with them over the Mopar?

Good lord that's expensive!

Re: Husky Weatherbeater/X-Act Contour Video Comparison Review

I got the mopars, they feel and look much more expensive than they are. I didn't like the plastic look of the others, the mopars have a rugged rubbery feel/look. I feel like they are superior in every way except coverage area. The rear cargo area cover is hands down the best of the bunch IMO. It has the quality feel and covers the entire area. On top of all that, the mopars have the grand cherokee logo on the fronts and jeep logo on the rear cargo mat.

I'm a big fan of the lower cost also.

Just switched to the X-Act Contours, the 3 year old Weatherbeaters curled up on the edge near the door - enough to leave a sizable gap.

We'll see how the new mats behave over time.

Re: Husky Weatherbeater/X-Act Contour Video Comparison Review

Nice video. Wish you could have included the WeatherTech product as well.

One thing that occurred to to me as you showed the X-Act lip is that maybe that feature would enable you to empty the mat by simply tilting it?
