Sounds like the rhetoric I get from the Jeep dealerships around my area.

I can remember once taking my new 2012 Subaru STI to the dealership for the free oil change at 3000 miles, and after when I was at the service desk...

"There was a TSB to flash the ECU and fix the rear seat noise we noticed...you're all set"

Now THAT'S what I call service. With Jeep, it was like pulling teeth to get them to do the TSBs for the radio & HVAC. It took making a call to Chrysler Customer Care and submitting a case file to get it done.

Its weird.. Last time I went there they went above and beyond for me (basically had to make an adjustment to the passenger side door and noticed a similar issue on the drivers and did that too without asking) and now there is this time where, "if we touch it, we might break it, then you're efed"... So weird.

So, I got her back and well I got to a few nice surprise. First they missed two of the spots that were to be fixed, so there is that.. Then, I found two new scratches in a addition to the hood and front quarter panels with fine scratches all over the place. At this point the service manager can see the veins on my neck starting to pop out, then I get into my car and see the mileage up about 10 miles and noticed a receipt from a little food shopping excursion. At this point I am about to start throwing shit.. So, the manager took me aside and said that not only are we taking it to our other body shop to fix the mistakes, but are going to throw in a profession detailing job and some more stuff.. So, I ask yall, what else should I ask for free? I was thinking either the Mopar roof rack or at the very least the rear trunk liner to match the floor mats..

What say you guys as to what I should push for?

The guy was super embarrassed and wants to make it right since I told him that this forum is chock full or potential jeep buyers that live in this area and he assumes we have power in numbers (which we do) . He was like, don't put anything on there until you give us a chance to make it right etc etc.

I guess we have that going for us...

I wouldn't ask for anything more personally. If they try to fix the scratches and they aren't to your liking, then I would complain more. It would piss me off that they went joy riding in my car if that happened. I would let him know if anything like this happens again, I would be going to the GM or the owner. If they are fix everything and all is good, maybe down the road they will take better care of you. Sad that it would have to come to bad service 1 time to have them finally do things right. That sucks.

Maybe I would call Chrysler and mention it to them about it, maybe they will throw something in.

I certainly understand why you are upset, I would be also. If they dealer would have blown you off, I would have been really upset. However, they have promised to take care of all of the issues, professionally detail your vehicle and some other stuff (not sure what that entails).

Now, you want a free trunk liner or roof rack for free? I could see throwing things in at cost, but for free, I just don't get the entitlement.

I suppose that was just the greedy part of me talking (wanting to take as much advantage of a situation as I could ) so what you guys have said makes sense.. Outside of the free detailing and the fixing of the problems, I would be all too pleased with the trunk liner at cost for sure..

Just wanted to vent and you guys talked me down from being that guy..

And yea, the service manager himself will be handling that and was sincere and felt like shit about it.. Especially the joy riding which he was really embarrassed/angry about. So, here is his chance to make it right and I believe he will...

Ps. I took a pic of the receipt, just so I know I have the paper trail.

They knew they got caught. If they see you going on your way without noticing any of that, they wouldnt have said jack. Smart of you!

Now, as for asking what Im not really too sure...
All i know is...IDC what bodyshop he takes it to, it better be fixed,Fawk the detailing offer, i wouldnt let em touch the Jeep again and As for the food receipt, ill be pissed as fuk, maybe file a complaint with Chrysler but idk what good that'll do. If anything go for the roofrack, might as well get something out of it and last time i go to that dealer.

I am thinking that if I can get the roof rack at cost, I'd be happy with that.. But man, the more I think about the joyride the more I get pissed off.. I mean sure, I thought something was up bc of the additional miles but once I saw the receipt, I was off the hook.

I won't file a complaint with the parent company yet, and if all goes smoothly I will just keep that under my hat. But if not, then I will have no choice...

How would you guys play it?

Sue...kidding. Whoop the guy's ass.

Bottom line...poor customer service. Nothing much can be done cept taking up on their offer imo, roof rack, maybe some fuel cards..and dont go back.
It's not your car...stay the fuk out.

Luckily ive been to the dealer once, but i always take pic of the odo, reset my TripA, and let em know the dashcam is always on.

Sorry to hear about those problems. Did you get the Nav TSB update done? If so, did it remove the stupid warning message that pops up at the start every time you turn it on? Did it cause any new problems? Is it TSB 08-027-14 Software Version 2.184 for the RHR radio?
