I Cannot Recommend the Jeep GC 4x4 Overland

Unless you want to be a productive member of society, pay taxes and save for retirement, don't buy a Jeep Grand Cherokee 4x4 Overland. Chicago was hit with 19 inches of snow this weekend and experienced blizzard conditions. So this morning, I opened the garage door and in front of me was a 26 inch high snowdrift in the alley. Alleys are not plowed in Chicago. I placed the JGC in 4x4 low and raised the Quadralift Air Suspension to the highlest level. It went through the drift like a hot knife through butter. No problems. Got to work and found out that more than half of the employees are not coming in. Don't buy a Jeep. Stay home!

similar today but my laredo has no extra lift, but with snows and snow mode, I was the first on my street to make it out of the driveway. I realized when I got to work I could have ran up and down the street to prepare some ruts, then again it was 530 in the morning.

We are getting your storm now. Thanks. Drove my wife to work today. I was just about the only vehicle on the road! Handles great, but at current 6F a large ice ridge builds up on the windshield where the wipers rest. This did not happen on my MY11. Grand Cherokee needs wiper rest heaters as on Cherokee.

I second that- wiper rest heaters. Great suggestion.

If you like that, you'll love this suggestion: Miniature wiper with washer for back-up camera lens!

You're on a roll! Bring back "flipper glass".

Re: I Cannot Recommend the Jeep GC 4x4 Overland

I agree with your assessment of the Grand Cherokee Overland 4x4 in deep snow...as a matter of fact, we are expecting another 12" to 14" on top of the 30" we got just last week!

I still stayed home today though...I was up late last night celebrating our Superbowl victory!

Boston Strong Baby! Take that Richard Sherman!

Re: I Cannot Recommend the Jeep GC 4x4 Overland

I'm in the burbs myself and had no issues with my Altitude + Blizzaks.
I was also out yesterday in the middle of the storm and had no problems getting around.
