The struggle...So sad for them.

Re: "I don't know how to drive in snow/ice, so I blame my GC" Part Deux

So what would you suggest for them? Consumers who see this video ( and the other one) will certainly question Jeep's "legendary" 4 wheel drive.

Unlike the last video of some guy on a hill, this one is flat and no snow. There's also a thread of getting stuck on a driveway.

I know I've had my '14 GC out in the snow and it's been o.k. ( just o.k.), but between the lame stability control and factory tires, I don't trust it over my 2001 Cherokee ( in the snow).

p.s. I'm happy to see their "trail rated" GC didn't come with a "Trail Rated" badge like mine. I don't feel left out now.

50% due to him and 50% due to stock tires,

I would say 75% stock tires, 25% the driver. Ours has those same 18" wheels/tires, factory still. I used to say they were OK in winter, now after putting some Hankook Dynapro ATMs on my 2010 Dakota, I would label the 18" factory JGC tires "barely adequate" for winter. I love those Dynapros in the snow!

I agree with others here, that the stock tires were probably the biggest problem.

Also, some patience and actual attempts other than just giving it gas in forward and reverse directions. I don't think I even saw him turn the wheel once to try and get some better traction.

Looks like they put more effort into making the video, complaining and assuming they have a Trail Rated Jeep.

I wonder if it's a "lemon" because they expected it to move like a snowmobile over ice?

Tell the camera operator to give you a push. It looks like he's iced over the spots where the wheels are sitting. Sometimes a little steering action can get you off the ice. I haven't had the chance to try out the OEM tires in the snow, but it sounds like they aren't the best.

Tires make all the difference. As well as having a clue how to drive in snow and/or ice.

ImageUploadedByJeepGarage1427229080.813344.jpg

Downsized from the 20's to 18" steel rims with Saxon SnowBlazer winter tires. The are twin to the Cooper Weather Masters.

It has drivin through 2 blizzards and several other storms. Towed my neighbors Jeep Wrangler out of his driveway last week. He only had A/T tires on and dug himself in.

Totally agree, makes you wonder what or who is the lemon in this video.
