I need help with leasing a new JGC

Hi. I'm new here and have a few questions regarding leasing a new JGC. I'm interested in a loaded Overland that stickers @$45K. What kind of deals are you guys getting? discounts? What are the current lease rates? I dont know if the December rates have been released yet but if not, what were the November rates?

Re: I need help with leasing a new JGC

December incentives have not yet been released. When they are, it is likely to be the same as November's. That is, no cash or rebates, only financing and lease offers. Check http://www.jeep.com/dma/501/index.ht...okee&zip=10101# and change the zip code for your local offers.

As for prices paid, check 2011 WK2 Prices Paid.

If you join http://treadlightly.org/ you can qualify for Chrysler Affiliates Rewards pricing which is 1% below invoice plus a $75 admin. fee (well, really it would be plus $100 if you count the Tread Lightly $25 member fee). This works for calculating a lease price as well. Suggestion: let dealership know in advance of negotiations that you want to get the Chrysler Preferred pricing; Some, including myself, have encountered dealerships that would not honor it on Overlands or Limiteds because they are "in demand" vehicles and know they can likely get closer to MSRP. Although these vehicles are not excluded, the Chrysler program will certainly listen to your complaint about the dealership, but will likely not do anything to act against them.

Re: I need help with leasing a new JGC

for Chrysler lease returnees...$1000 lease loyalty. For active military, 20 year retired military vets, an vets discharged in last 6 months....$500 military rebate. I have dealt with my Jeep dealer since 1995. Pricing I receive is very close to employee discount. Invoice, minus dealer holdback, and incentives above. No one should pay MSRP or close to MSRP.

From what I've heard, the residuals on Limiteds and Overlands weren't as good as the Laredos, though that might have changed recently...

Rule of thumb, to calculate residual value use 57% of MSRP for 36 month lease.

Edmunds.com has a pretty accurate lease calculator. I would advise you use it before negotiating.

Re: I need help with leasing a new JGC

I'm paying $399.00 on a 36 month/12k per year lease for a Laredo E with the Convenience package. The first number they threw at me was $489.00! So negotiate, negotiate. MSRP was $34,490. I got them to waive the taxes also. For the 45k Overland you're looking to lease, you're looking at around $600 for a lease...IMO. Good luck and remember not to settle for the first (or second) offer they throw at you. I remember when my wife leased her 2008 Honda CRV-EX, the first offer was $589!!! We finally settled for $325....I had numbers from 2 other dealers and the one lower price was $335.00 so I negotiated to do a little better and they did. Good luck.

Thanks for the replies. I'm looking for definitive residual and MF numbers. For example, 36 months, 15k miles/yr, 55% residual and 1.5% money factor(interest). I'm pretty good at getting what I want from a dealer as far as price and I always do my homework before I go. Thats why I'm asking here. This is the lease website I use to get all my lease prices. Its 100% accurate.

I leased an Overland on Oct 26th, after rebates and $5000 in trade, the lease amount was $35,834 ,(MSRP $44,490). The Money factor was 2.59% and the residual after 36 months will be $21,800 at 10,000 miles a year, My monthly payment with 9% Pa.sales tax is $493.00. Also the lease is from GMAC/Ally. Hope this helps

So your price is based on $35,834? I suspect I can get a new Overland 4x4 w/V-8 for around $43K before rebates. Thats about $7K more then what you got it for.I would think the price would definitely be in the $600 range

Before taxes, you def should be able to be below $600

Re: I need help with leasing a new JGC

Leasing a 2011 Overland loaded (45K) for 3 years, tax in the payment, just first payment and DMV fees upfront (850-900 dollars) I'm paying $640 a month here in NY. I went to 3 dealers (local) and one was $775.... the second was $725..... wound up at $640. Hope this helps.... Good luck...
