I really hate my dealership- Recall service rant

So I brought it in to perform the visor recall, when I get it back this is the free gift they left me - fingerprints with grease/dirt marks everywhere...it's a lot worse looking in person, there wasn't enough daylight to shoot decent pics. This was Liberty Jeep in Pataskala, OH







Plus this white ring fell out too, anyone know what it is? Spacer?

Man, I would just totally loose it...there is NO excuses for this type of non respect...what do you plan to do about it? As far as the plastic thigny, found the same in my 2014 under passenger seat while cleaning...dunno what it's for....

That's terrible. Hopefully the service manager does the right thing and cleans/details your interior to remove the grease.

i emailed the GM and the Service manager today, weird you found the same thing. maybe the same tech worked on your Jeep too

Typical dealer monkeys... they don't give half a shite about your car, and when it's a Jeep they get lots of opportunity to 'monkey' with it. I've got a decent sized scratch on the dash from one of the non-recall repairs... the interior is black so it covers up the greasy prints.

My dealership is just as bad as yours, like they do the work out of spite. Last Jeep.

There's no excuse for greasy finger prints being left anywhere on the vehicle.

That plastic piece you guys found... that's the defective part in the visor that they replaced under the recall.

What a bunch of clowns, literally the first step from the recall instructions:

CAUTION: Be sure to wash your
hands thoroughly before
performing this service
procedure to avoid staining the
headliner.

I would be livid.

Also, do they actually replace that white piece, or is that the piece that's supposed to be installed? I have those white pieces in my 2015 (don't ask why I was pulling down the visors on a brand new truck), I'd be worried if you found it in the cabin if they were supposed to be installing it...

Yes, those pieces are the original wire guides that are being replaced. The new ones are shown in the recall repair instruction pictures.

Dude. That sucks. This is exactly my fear and is why I am avoiding the recalls.

As far as I understand it, there is approximately zero hazard to vehicles who have not had this recall service performed if the headliner has never been dropped. That describes my vehicle and probably many others.
