The V8 has the same problem. That's when I use the Autostick.

Re: I take delivery tomorrow...V6 owners need your feedback

I absolutely love mine. When I need the power, it has it. But for the first week or so, it took me a while to get used to the pedal positioning when starting from a stop (as in how much pressure to get to the speed I wanted).

The best part about it, are the tie downs in back area for when the ole lady starts nagging about stuff I need to do.

Re: I take delivery tomorrow...V6 owners need your feedback

I drove the V6 and the Hemi before purchasing my Hemi GC and I will say the Pentastar was impressive. I thought it had adequate power and would have gotten better MPG than my Hemi but in the end I wasn't willing to give in to another V6 as the Silverado I was driving had the 4.3 V6 and I always needed more power. I tow and I needed the extra power of the Hemi otherwise I would have gotten the V6 and had no buyers remorse at all.

Re: I take delivery tomorrow...V6 owners need your feedback

The V6 has more than enough power for regular use. I live in the Boston area and like you don't off road or tow and the V6 does the job just fine. It's only because of the Hemi lovers bashing the V6 that makes you wonder weather the smaller engine is powerful enough. Most drivers would never give it a second thought. If it were not for the Hemi vs any other engine banter that goes on here the so called underpowered V6 talk would not exsist. BTW this is nothing new I had to endure the same argument when I was part of a Commander forum. The Hemi is there for those who need it or prefer it. You will love your Jeep and the V6 that powers it.

for what you need, you have the right car, hemi in the city is frightening on gas (I don't like to talk about it).

I have the hemi Laredo X, so you get all the amenity I have with less frequent visits to the pumps. You'll love it.

Re: I take delivery tomorrow...V6 owners need your feedback

You will not regret getting the V6. I feel it has plenty of power and you can still tow up to 5000 lbs. if you wanted to.

i got the V6 more for the better mpg's which i am very happy with. i am getting 23- 24 mpg right now and i commute about 80 miles a day round trip with stop and go traffic

the jeep is actually better on gas than my previous vehicle which was a 2007 ford fusion AWD, i was only getting about 20-21mpg with that one

Re: I take delivery tomorrow...V6 owners need your feedback

I like my v6 a lot. I drove my co workers hemi a few weeks back. Aside from more torque, it is not much faster than the V6. I was really suprised with that. She fill up more frequently than I do. ha.

Re: I take delivery tomorrow...V6 owners need your feedback

I think the v6 is fine. I haven't driven the Hemi, but then again I haven't felt the need for more power really.

Not only that, but the v6 should be pretty much sufficient for whatever you want to do (unless you were towing something large), as that is what they put in the "top" model Wranglers.

My last tank was almost solely city type driving and I hand calculated 19.4 mpg. That was only my 3rd tank of gas (I've only had it for a little over a month now, so it should still be breaking in).

Re: I take delivery tomorrow...V6 owners need your feedback

Love the V6 in my Jeep. Plenty of power even at the elevation I live in (6500 ft). I drove it in high mountain passes in CO and it never bogged down like my old 4.0 I6 ZJ used to.
