I really like the look of the bronco, and I love the engine options. I'd buy one if it is available the next time I'm new car shopping.

The Mall Crawler and Soccer Mom crowd have overwhelmed the market. The GC is the only "Gentlemen's SUV" left that can actually do anything.

Of course, if Ford brought over the new Ranger, I would have given it at least a look over. F-150 is a great truck, just too big.
Whartung, PRECISELY my point. Even if I wanted to get rid of my GC (and I have contemplated it), there are NO other "comparables" on the market, except for perhaps an LR4. But with commensurate options, I believe the LR4 comes in well above the GC's price point (although I may be mistaken). I mean, what else is there that's even close?

there are other cars comparable to the Jeep outside the Range Rover brand. Toyota makes the 4Runner, the Land Cruiser and the Hilux also known as the Lexus GX 470.

But it is also true that there are also SUVs that are either no longer on the North American market - Mitsubishi Montero or became soft-roaders Nissan Pathfinder. Nissan does sell the Titan or whatever is called which sells as the Patrol in other markets

As long as you don't buy their electric Fiat's, they seem to be happy.

That Bronco only goes on sale for one day every year, April Fools Day.

The 4Runner?? I had a 2011 and kept it for 6 months. It is not even close to the GC in any way shape or form. It is substandard in every way except dependability (and great resale). The GX comes in at a way higher price point. Again, I will repeat, there is nothing comparable on the market right now, at least in the U.S.

This was my first "SUV" (not in this color though)....back when you could get a two door....I think the Chevy Blazer was a two door as well...

Dub, I agree, that rendition of the Bronco looks bad-ass......Ford is too busy "sissifying" their SUV's and moving towards more fuel conscious vehicles to be concerned with building that....I guess you can't blame them, the long arm of the government is going to change the auto industry one way or the other....

There was also talk/speculation/rumor/fantasy last year that Jeep would put out a diesel trail hawk like this bad boy.
