Re: If you were to give up your GC today, what would you get?

BMW 335xi manual. Actually, it will be my next car after the jeep in a year or two.

Well since other functions are already filled, I'd look for something with at least a 7,000 lb tow capacity, good aerodynamics & styling, and a turbo-diesel.

Re: If you were to give up your GC today, what would you get?

Actually I would love to give up my new WK2. I got 11000 miles on a 2014 limited and it has actually been by far the worst new vehicle I have ever purchased. Unfortunatley, I don't like anything else out there right now, would have got a highlander, just can't stand it's looks. Just wanted to give a made in the USA a chance, and I am regretting it everyday now, and doing a little venting about it here. I need something I can get all my camping gear in and be able to access remote trailheads. I think I would go to a 4 door fullsize truck, maybe an Outback, but I really wanted to give this a try. I just can't stand all the trips back to the dealer, especially when they don't fix it the first time.

Granite Crystal Metallic. May not have the Jeep, but I'll still drop in and keep up with the news.

I'd get a fully loaded Ram 1500 or Ford F150. 4wd crew cab, leather, etc. I'd probably lean towards the Ram diesel if the price was right. Driving a full size truck as a daily driver can be a chore sometimes, but I'd get used to it.

The Jeep is almost the perfect size. It's big enough 98% of the times, while only rarely could I use something bigger.

Re: If you were to give up your GC today, what would you get?

Probably something from Range Rover or Porsche Cayenne S/GTS. RR is a tough sell to my wife because we had a Jaguar and it was awful, and our friends/acquaintances that have RRs all complain about reliability issues. So probably Porsche.

There really are shockingly few real competitors. My demands were: actual offroad ability (kills anything by BMW, the Mercedes ML, Audi, etc.), has air suspension (a killer feature in my book), offers an engine that propels the car with great speed, offers real luxury and technology, wasn't so pricey that the wife would kill me and is generally pretty reliable. So basically the GC Overland/Summit were easy to settle on.

Re: If you were to give up your GC today, what would you get?

If i was to change from my current Jeep Grand Cherokee
What would i replace it with

A Nissan Patrol or Toyota Land cruiser either of these.

I am over the over complicated systems, the huge service costs and no parts availability for Jeep Australia.
Totally over The lack of service or customer service would be the main reason.
$60.00 Au as a minimum for a 3.0lt diesel Oil filter which is made in China for about $5.00 sick of the parts rip off by Jeep Australia

Fantastic vehicle when it all works correctly but over all of the above. I wonder what the trade in price would be?

Actually thinking of trading my 2013 Summit for a loaded 2014 or 2015 GC SRT.

Surprised more people wouldn't go the truck route, it was between this F-150 and the Overland for me. The Overland won obviously, it was more practical for me at this time.
