They could not even update early 2014's with full stop ACC Let along this.
It's different hardware and the bulk of it not developed by Chrysler.
But I agree, even if they could they probably would not. And they could surely add some improvements with just software. Testing alone on the old hardware would be expensive.
The 2015 Chrysler 200 already has a more advanced system than the Jeep 2015. If it was just software they would have put it on the 2015's. Just like the Radio. Firmware is different for MY14 and MY15 because there is probably different hardware inside. But could they add software improvements to the MY14 Radio, you bet. In fact I think there were two different generations 8.4AN Radios in MY14.
Electronics change fast.
