Re: Impressions - 1 month in
I got my 2013 JGC Overland a little over a month ago and I concur with just about everything you posted. No, it's not as quick as my 2001 F150 SVT Lightning(traded in on the Jeep) with its supercharged 5.4L(I also added a few performance mods.) but its 5.7L Hemi is no slouch either. I love the 6-speed auto with its ability to be manually shifted. I shift it all the time even though I think it drives my wife a tad crazy. When the MDS starts annoying me, I tap it into '6'. Love the locked fuel door.
I bemoaned the fact that it only had the capability to hold only one CD until I found out I can load all the CDs I want onto the HDD. Very neat. The interior is opulent compared to the F150 and my wife's 2007 Murano.
A few nits; a little more difficult to enter and exit due to its height though the extra wide opening doors are a plus, the body pillars are too wide, interfering with side and rear views. I'll have to pay a little extra when it becomes time to replace the battery because it's too heavy and unwieldy for my 75 year old body. Still learning how to use the multi-light light switch. The Uconnect feature is not intuitive, at least for me.
Overall, this is an awesome vehicle.
