The WK2's headlamp indicator light has been the subject of past threads here. Some don't mind it, but a goodly number of JG owners have groused that it's too bright and devised a number of creative solutions to ameliorate it. The WSJ article was underscoring Chrysler's dedication to perfection by, among other things, specifically citing that when Dodge and Chrysler users complained that a similar indicator light was too bright, ChryslerCo quickly changed it. Point is, WK2 users have had the same type of complaint for well over a year, now, and nothing has been done.

Sure, it's a tiny isssue that's died out over time, implying that folks have simply gotten used to the enthusiastically illuminated headlight icon. But just reading the article it would seem that if Chrysler is this nitpicky with Dodges and Chryslers, they would also be just as fussy with Jeeps. In reality, not so.
You get 10 extra points on this post for forcing me to look up what the heck "ameliorate" meant. Well done.

Re: Improving quality claimed by WSJ

The only scary thing about companies advertising and touting more Quality Control or better experience usually leads to alot of lay offs....
