I pulled about 3000 lbs from TX to TN with my V6. Yea, it took nearly the whole trip to get 0-60, but once going it did fine staying in gear unless I needed to pass someone. Although it's all flat land of course.

We use a Hayman Reese load distribution hitch with air suspension, use about 15 litres per 100 km loaded, towball weight up to 300 kg.
