Ink on '14 Door Panel

There seems to have been an ink mark "appear" on the vertical door panel that is just above the arm rest. "No one" knows how it got there.... Unfortunately I have not been able to remove it from the panel. I've tried leather cleaner, saddle soap, hairspray, rubbing alcohol, and even toothpaste, all to no avail. There was no discoloration on the towel I used, so apparently it is set. I'm not sure what else I can try and cannot stand it being there.

Is it possible to just replace this small panel or must the entire vertical door panel be replaced? Are there any vendors who will sell this part?

Thanks!

I've been able to remove some damn stubborn marks from all sorts of surfaces with this: Magic Eraser Original | Mr. Clean

Re: Ink on '14 Door Panel

I just gave the Magic Eraser a shot, unfortunately with no luck. I'm beginning to wonder what that ink is made of. One of the most indelible I've seen. I hope I have an alternative to replacing the panel, but I cannot seem to find anything to remove the stain.

If all else fails, A good trim company can take care of it. Used car departments all the time deal with stains on Leathers and vinyls. I had the same stain on a tan Mercedes seat. The dealer took care of it for about $50.00.

Re: Ink on '14 Door Panel

Had a terrible grease stain from a service visit on my headliner and I, as well as my detailer could not get it out. Brought to dealer and they sprayed it w some prep stuff and they got it out in about 15 min. Which I'm sure 14 minutes of that was the car sitting there waiting for someone to get to it.

Re: Ink on '14 Door Panel

I've used Surf City Dash Away to get blue ink off the white stripe in my previous Lincoln leather seats. My ink must not have been as permanent as yours. I would think the it would be discolored by now -- with everything you've tried?

Re: Ink on '14 Door Panel

i know you said you tried rubbing alcohol, but double check you had 99% stuff, 70% is commonly sold and has too much H2O.

Rainx is about 99.99% alcohol, might be worth a try.
