Jim in PA. Are you serious about AAA being a good insurer?? Haven't heard much about that but if you have more info let us know.

That's about what I was paying on MY 15 Overland ADV Tech.

Summit jumped to $800.00

After a little research my Insurance is rated pretty damn poorly by a few web sites.

Amica came out on top.

It may still be $800 in the end, but I really should change based on ratings I see around. I'm sure they all use similar data.

I'm 26..it's been getting cheaper every year though, so hopefully it continues to decrease. I don't have any marks on my license or anything..I do live in Louisiana & I read somewhere we have the most expensive insurance in America due to having the worst drivers or something like that.

Re: Insurance Rip-Off for ADDED safety features !!

Well. I wish my insurance cost was back down "that low"...we went from about $1400 a year for two fully insured vehicles to just under $4k per year with three vehicles and a 16 year old female driver. No accidents. No tickets. No claims. Our former carrier, who was the lowest for many years, wanted a lot more...and they got the boot!

Re: Insurance Rip-Off for ADDED safety features !!

I think my premium is about $800 bucks for three vehicles. 2015 High Altitude V6, 2015 Honda Odyssey Touring, and a 1999 C5 Corvette. I have had Geico for a long time now always happy with their service. Haven't had to use them much, but one time I did have to file a claim on an SRT I had a guy came to my house to look at the damage and wrote me a check on the spot using all MSRP OEM prices. Worked for me!!!

Re: Insurance Rip-Off for ADDED safety features !!

I have geico as well. The only time I have had to use them was when someone broke the back passenger side glass to steal my radar detector. While they were initially good at getting everything set up, I had to get into it with them because they told me they would only pay for aftermarket glass. They stated that my MY15 was the previous model year and this was before the MY16 was on most dealer lots!
