Re: Interest Rates

I was approved through PenFed at 2.49%, but the dealer beat my interest rate with a Bank of the West rate of 2.4% for 60 months.

Re: Interest Rates

I just got 1.99% from my local dealer (said that two banks were offering) for terms up to 72 months.

Re: Interest Rates

Best to shop around .... My first car was an Infiniti M45, I think it was 4% for 60 months. Got approved through PenFed at 2.49%, which the finance guy at the dealership matched so the dealership got their "incentives" from lenders ... Second new Jeep, 1.9% for 60mos. from Ally.
Local Credit Unions are the best way to go IMHO, since big banks are the devil.

Re: Interest Rates

When we put our deal together on our 2011 Limited, the Jeep offering was 3.99%. We went to CEFCU and they were offering 2.65%, the dealer got mad b/c he wanted to keep it in house- I agreed to allow him to match or beat....... the next afternoon he called and said he got us into a local bank @ 2.25%...... he forgot to tell the bank that he wanted to make a little on the deal and when the bank rep. called to verify some information, I asked about the rate; 1.83%..... had I known we were going to get that strong of a rate, we would have added some otehr goodies as we are under budget (for once) by $35.00 a month....
