Re: Is Anybody on here happy with there WK2?

Love my GC still i have strange little electrical issues, like when I have the navigation on and then use a blinker I'll turn the blinker off and then the blinker for the other side will come on... kind of odd, and I'll be using uconnect and I have to call 2 or three times before it connects me.. but love my Grand Cherokee

Happy? Count me in. Its been a year and one month since i drove off from the dealership with my 2011 70th annivesary. Not a single issue. It drives like the day i signed the pink slip. I appriciate my wk2 everytime i seat behind the wheel. The hemi is amazing. It makes the whole driving experiance enjoyable.

I'm very happy with mine too. 10k miles. It has the air suspension. No problems.

[QUOTE=RCBS204;665069]I gotta say, i have been on here for a little while now, and i have never seen so much negativity towards a product in my life. I have a new 2012 Summit with 800miles on the clock, and so far i have had no issues.
Every time i come in this forum, there is another thread involving some issue.
What i want to know is how many people on this forum with WK2's are happy with there rig.

Is there anybody on here that likes there Jeep? Please tell me i am not the only one that likes there jeep.

Who has had there jeep since ownership that has had NO problems what so ever, those are the people i want to here from!! Front and Center!![/QUOTE

I have 5000 km up now, LOVE that car, it is really fantastic!

Re: Is Anybody on here happy with there WK2?

Love my JGC Overland overall. That said, one must admit there are only a few things that keep it from being at the level of say a Touareg or X5, keeping in mind that the named vehicles equally equipped as my GC would cost $15-20k more than what I paid, so I am thrilled with the bang-for-the-buck. Vented seats, gorgeous saddle interior and the active cruise control are such cool options.

Then there are a few things, minor things, that can be modified and make it more the way I like it. Basically the transmission's gear ratios are the dumbest thing I've ever seen (obviously I'm stuck with these), slushy shift feel lets me know that I'm wasting more fuel than necessary and the ridiculous amount of wheel gap for a RWD Hemi is another thing that will keep your mileage nice and low. Also the power you get out of a 5.7L should be much higher, especially with such advancements as direct injection and an H or X pipe for the dual exhaust. I've got 10k miles on it since April.

I know you were only looking for people who absolutely love their JGC, and I do love it. But I can't blow smoke up its tailpipe when there are a few things that Jeep/Chrysler should work out to make this a world class SUV.

Closing in on 10k and havent had a problem. One of my favorite cars i've ever owned. Not to mention i've spent a total of $60 so far on two oil changes/filter change and tire rotation.

I've had a few problems but nothing I couldn't deal with. At the end of the day I still look forward to waking up for my drive to work and then my drive home : )

TrueDelta and other websites are reporting the 2012 model has few problems than the first year run. But I guess we'll have to wait and see how it plays out in the long run. But these new model years should be good.

2011 Overland going on 9k miles, and LOVE IT!

So far nothing that hasn't been able to be corrected with a Flash Update at the dealer....(with the exception of a nagging Pano Roof rattle).

As for the sunroof rattle, I narrowed it down (at least in my case) after about 26K miles......
1. The rubbery bellows-like material that expands upward when engaging 'Vent" mode is kind of sticky and can rub against itself making a 'rattley' sound. I put some little peices of sticky soft material to make it stop doing that.
2. The bar that moves forward and backwards that is attached to Fabric shade actually is not just a single piece and seems vibrate quite a bit depending on the condition of the road surface you're on. Working on trying to figure out how to cushion/silence it.

Re: Is Anybody on here happy with there WK2?

If you've read any of my posts, you probably think I'm just incredibly negative towards mine. But I'll say this. It's still a Jeep and I love Jeeps, always have.

Unfortunately I too want mine replaced. I've been averaging at least one trip to service every month I've owned it. Mainly for sunroof issues, but it shouldn't take that many trips, especially with no loaners (chrysler needs to change this for 50k+ vehicles). Now I've got engine/drivetrain issues... 12 more visits?

So my biggest gripe is that they say this "The things we make, make us". But for me, it's the opposite, my previous four Jeeps seemed to be better built. For example, how many of you drive on rough roads with no passenger? Does the passenger headrest make rediculous amounts of noise? It's simple things that they should have figured out during QA. Most rattles could be cured by using different fasteners or putting membranes between things like plastic/metal or metal/metal joints.

Anyway, I love the vehicle, I love that it's a Jeep, I love that I took it on a trail recently that ATV's were slowly navigating, etc, etc. I love supporting American manufacturers, etc, but I want quality. So far, I don't see it. Others do, I just wish I was one of them.

FYI, I too was very surprised at the number of issues posted on this site and others for such a new vehicle product line. Sad part is, I've asked Jeep customer service more than once if they pay attention these forums and so far, they've said no... They really should.
