Re: Is Anybody on here happy with there WK2?

I have a 2011 GC 70 th anniversary edition with the 5.7 hemi. Although i had a few minnor fixes done, i have 17k and no major probs. I love just going to take a drive to the local 7/11. I think the truck kicks ass and looks like a victoria secrets model. I cant stop looking at her!!!!!!

I have 14,500km on mine. 11,000 of them done in the last month and a half and I love it! I've got the Hemi in it and I averaged 11.6l/100km and got as good as 10.3l/100 at one point. I've been impressed by the comfort, the power. So far very reliable!

This was taken in Tomestone Park on the Dempster Hwy in the Yukon

Re: Is Anybody on here happy with there WK2?

Whatever the problem I had during 2011 till today, still I love my WK2 Limited V8. I had 6 issues started:-
1- Engine shutdown while driven (3 times). Problem solve
2- Rear light covers loss. Adjustment done
3- Rear lift gate sound disable while opened and closed. Problem solve
4- No key found. At service time only re-programme for software was done
5- Part in driver chair was loosed. Waiting order parts to reach
6- And today door lock not work automatically for rear side lift gate. As highlighted this part will take one month approximately to reach.

So I am waiting for these parts.

31,000 miles on my Overland v8

Running synthetic oil and add one quart between 6 or 7 thousand oil change
Averaging (calculated) about 16-17 mpg in suburban, city, HW driving

Re: Is Anybody on here happy with there WK2?

I love my WK2! 2011 Overland Summit, 5.7, mineral grey, every option including the rear seat entertainment. Bought it new, have 14,500 miles on it now and haven't had any issues of note.

The USB port in the console didn't work when I got it, which it was just the connection to the head unit that wasn't plugged in. I have the "tick" in the steering wheel from the intermediate shaft TSB that I plan to have fixed, and there is a slight rattle/squeak sort of nose from the passenger seat when someone isn't in it that sounds like it is coming from the active headrest. These are minor though, and I overlook them considering the fact that there is a TON of tech in the vehicle (as with many vehicles nowadays) and it generally works without issue. Every car has SOMETHING that is a little "off" about it I think. It's hard to have perfection with something so complicated.

The only thing that gets irritating is the 730N "forgetting" my home address. But this is a vendor providing the unit and firmware, so it isn't a DIRECT Jeep issue IMO. I see there is new firmware available that should fix it too, but I just haven't gotten around to downloading it. That tells you how much I've been irritated by this if I haven't done anything about it in a year.

I've had a 2012 Overland with the V8 for 23,000 miles & not one issue!
It's $30,000 less than what usually drive & I find the comparison very close.

Re: Is Anybody on here happy with there WK2?

My previous Jeep was a 1998 Grand Cherokee which I had purchased new. When I decided in March that maybe it was time to get a new one, I ordered one from my local dealer.

I've had it since early April, and it only has 3K miles on it, but I love it. And every time I walk past it, it makes me smile!

Funny, same here.....except I kept my '98 Limited and am still driving it with 210k on it, while my wife's enjoying the Overland!

2011 Laredo E V6 4x4
21 000 KM / 13 000 miles
I've had two issues so far:
1-Rear flipper glass button would activate itself, hence unlocking the flipper glass. Button replaced under warranty.
2-Rear wiper stopped working. Rear wiper motor replaced under warranty.

Aside from that she's been perfect. *knocks on wood*

Same here. How do you do the firmware update?
