Hi,

I recently bought a dashcam, now I am not sure if it is wise to leave it connected to the power outlet in the center stack storage? I know the power is disconnected when the vehicle is not on and engine not running, but i want to be sure it is safe.

PS: I own GC 2014 limited with 8.4AN.

Regards
Ranko

I have a dash cam plugged in the front and have had various different cams always kept them plugged in. Did not waste battery even after sitting for 5 days without being turned on. Think about getting the POWERUCC PANORAMA ii They sell them on ebay (only?).. I didnt find them anywhere else at the time I was buying it. It has a button at the plug every time you shut off the car you can push the button and it shuts off. Best quality video too.

I actually have that camera too and am also satisfied with it. Amazon carries it now too - I think its a much better option than eBay (I got mine from eBay - seller is in China)

I had mine hardwired, so that it doesn't waste a power source.
