Re: Is the LR4 "tougher" than the JGC

I would love to see that. I am really curious to know how the GC stacks up. I had an LR4, that thing is a tank. But the GC is rock solid as well.

Its been said that Lucas sells replacement smoke for their electronics. This way when all the smoke runs out, you can refill it.

Ah yes, Lucans, the Prince of Darkness. Now speaking of tough....

This is tough

I doubt any LR4 or even a GC can stand with this old Toyota...back when Toyota made idestructable cars.

It seems both of them can overheat the pump, but allegedly the Jeep will hold you at your last height if it can, where the LR may drop you onto the rocks or alligators..

Anyone know if the GC air suspension is still from the Mercedes, or if it is a new design from Fiat's trucks or what?

I must admit I am learning to love it a lot better than I had expected as far as turning the GC into a really capable highway cruiser AND being able to handle trails without jarring my teeth out like the old solid axled ZJ would do.

I had about bought a Land Rover to get this type of flexibility when the 8 speed rumors came out for the '14 GC

Istowell, I had heard precisely the same thing and often wondered if that was actually true. Because that would be a MAJOR advantage for the JGC.
