I really do like the new design of the 2011's. Had I known more about what's out, I probably would have held out.
I guarantee you'll take it in the shorts. I'm getting an ok deal- not a fantastic one, but not awful. Part of that is my wife's employer purchase program price, but they just play harder for the trade. There's no way you'll get good trade value with the new 2010s going for well under sticker. The 2011s are cheaper MSRP-wise, and that will also drive down the value of late model used.

Sorry, but I just don't think you're going to get much slack cut for you by the dealer. Best to sit it out a couple years and jump in once you've paid down more and they've added things like the 8 speed transmission.

Re: Is the WK2 worth the upgrade from a 2010 Limited?

I know I am going to wait...my Parents just got a 2011 X5 with the 8-speed tranny...someone on here compared the WK2 to the new X5...if that is the case then it will be an even less-involved driving experience...more comfy, more technology with newer looks...problem with the WK2 IMO is my 2wd Hemi is prolly 500+ pounds less than the new WK2, with it potentially being closer to 1K pounds from what I have read.

You will get reped by a dealer...hang in there and get the 2013 SRT8 like I will prolly do!

Does anyone know if the WK2 shares the same bolt pattern/offest as the current WK?

I've read bolt pattern is the same but backspacing you need +.. not sure the number.. Its on the forum if you search.. Possibly under the mopar rim thread.

Re: Is the WK2 worth the upgrade from a 2010 Limited?

Tough call, I had no intention of trading up when I went to go check out the new ones and after seeing it in person and test driving it I changed my mind. My situation was different though, I had a 06 and was able to get about 6k more than I owed. If mine was newer and would have been upsidedown I think I would have kept to the original plan and waited till next year and the new tranny at least

Re: Is the WK2 worth the upgrade from a 2010 Limited?

I have an offer on the table that includes, my 2010 Limited for a special order (of my choice) Overland Hemi. Delta is 12,580 (plus T&L on that).

I'm still working to get that down. I think they can do better.

Affiliate reward pricing plus the 1k rebate for existing gc owners.

what do I do... still not worth it? I figure it's about a 28k trade. When it was said and done, I paid 37,210 for the Limited -- but they gave me 5k more on trade than they should have as part of that. (taxes not considered here since that's my locale specific). sticker on the 2010 was 43,875.

Re: Is the WK2 worth the upgrade from a 2010 Limited?

ugg man yea its a tough call, im not gonna lie, just depends on what your pockets can do and how deep they can go!! i know like i said i would maybe wait for some time and just enjoy your new jeep then in a few years once they have all the bugs worked out on it and the 8 speed trans comes out then trade it in for a new one with all the bugs worked out on it there ya go...

at least thats what i will try and do if i don't go get a Infinity Fx or something till then
