Is there a setting to turn off the chime when the door is open?

When i am doing stuff to the Jeep and want to have the radio on with the doors open it won't stop chiming, is there a way to turn that off?

No but if you turn the key one more click without starting it, it should go away.. but everything else including the radio turns on, too.

It only chimes if the driver door is open. If you don't want to turn on accessory mode (climate control, etc.), you can leave the rest of the doors open and the driver window down.

Exclamation Re: Is there a setting to turn off the chime when the door is open?

ok i got it done. lookie here you amateurs.! lol

but when i restarted jeep with 2 doors open it wouldn't idle.had to keep foot on the gas. had to shut doors so computer would re calibrate all systems. now all is A.O.K.
no more god dam chiming any more when i leave the door open with my foot on the door when i have my lunch.

i left the 2 small winding wires in-tacked in the TMK to the small motor/solenoid inside that rings the mechanical bell. not synthetic sound. All the computer from car doors ,lights, etc, does is send voltage to it to TMK. But i left the 2 wires on just the same. It just doesn't have the high hat symbol bell anymore to drive me nuts!
YES that is extra padding under ALL my carpets to quiet the ride on the highway from road noise. =] As quiet as a Presidential limo now.
