The funny thing is that most features on my list weren't in my previous vehicle and at the time I was fine with that. Now they're all "must haves". Funny how that happens.

Re: Is there any feature you can do without or a must have!

Some other features I don't need or want:

- Auto cruise control / adaptive cruise etc. Many drivers are too inattentive as it is. This will just make them ever more dependent on these features.

- Self-parking systems. Seriously, if you can't park your car, forfeit your license already!! FFS...

- Auto-locking doors. I'll lock the doors when I feel it's necessary, thank you very much.

- Blind-spot monitoring. No thanks. Instead of spending $1000 or so for this feature, I'll just use my mirrors and look over my shoulder when changing lanes. This is all part of being a good driver. It's not that difficult.

Features I can't live without:

- Air conditioning. I love A/C!

- Push-button start / keyless entry. It's one of those things that I have to have since having it on my previous car.

The CD player. I want that $300 and console space back. It appears that dealers tend to stock most Jeeps with this add-on for some strange reason in this age of bluetooth enabled smart phones.

I could do without the whine and noise from the passenger seat every now and then.

...oops, that was there before the GC was purchased.

I hear sometimes it's necessary for a trade in.

No, I don't. Do you care to ask a relevant question of some kind?

And for that reason, I hope they all get these safety features. I hate to look over my shoulder and see somebody on their cell phone aiming for my 1/4 panel.

That's a very good point. It's just sad that so many drivers are so distracted or inattentive.

I pretty much like all the features on my GC but could definitely do without the VR for the phone. That damn woman does not pronounce one single name correctly therefore when asking for someone to be called by name I have to know her language.

Re: Is there any feature you can do without or a must have!

Must have:

- Keyless entry

- Flipper glass

- QT-II 4x4 system

Wish I wouldn't have gotten:

- 430N Garmin NAV - what a waste of money. It's so shitty I just end up using my phone for navigation. Wish I would have spent the extra $500 on a trailer hitch instead of the NAV.

Re: Is there any feature you can do without or a must have!

For me - a sunroof and the rear view camera are a must. I got the LUX2 package because of the panoramic sunroof - I enjoy all the features of the package, especially the HID and the cooled seats, but the sunroof was the primary reason.

I wish it came with flipper glass, there are a lot of situations where I would love to open just the glass and not the whole hatch.
