Is this a good deal for 2014 Overland?!?

OK guys I need some advice. I have been looking for about a month now and I am about to pull my hair out. It seems like every day I find another Jeep to consider. Should I be concerned about buying a 2014 when they have been selling 2015's for awhile now?

Whats everyone think of this deal?
New 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland 4x4 For Sale Aurora | Serving Denver, CO | 1C4RJFCT9EC427017

Also, should I be able to get them to take another $2000 off with the year end incentives?

Thanks for the help. I love this forum.

You need to target your price to % off invoice less available incentives. There's no way to tell from the add if they have already used manufacturer incentives to arrive at that discount. Do note that that site you link so says you may be required to finance through their specific lender.

You can calculate your invoice price here:

Looking from Australia, it's a fantastic deal.
I paid 55K for my Limited and waited 5 months for the build and delivery.
For an Aussie price I think we did well..

Caught this little tidbit in the fine print-

* The estimated selling price that appears after calculating dealer offers is for informational purposes, only. You may not qualify for the offers, incentives, discounts, or financing. Offers, incentives, discounts, or financing are subject to expiration and other restrictions. See dealer for qualifications and complete details.

Re: Is this a good deal for 2014 Overland?!?

Thanks for the help guys. After adding up the invoice cost ($47,492) its doesn't look like that great of a deal. I am assuming that they are already using the $2k year end incentive on the posted price. All I can think about is that this vehicle has been sitting outside being neglected for a year.

Re: Is this a good deal for 2014 Overland?!?

There is a 2014 Overland with hemi similar to this one near me advertised for $44k that stickers for $50k. I emailed the dealer and they called me back saying advertised price includes all available discounts and incentives. I told them it was still too high a price for a 2014 and of course they said come in to talk and we'll give you "a good deal." I haven't stopped by to talk but maybe I'll try in the next few weeks before the end of the month.

The OP Jeep in question has a VIN that ends in 42xxxx so I'm guessing it was built sometime this past spring. I believe the 2015 VINs started with 6xxxxx.

Re: Is this a good deal for 2014 Overland?!?

I purchased my 2014 Overland in the Chicago area about a month and a half ago for about $41,200 new. I think you can find a better deal if you're willing to look around

It took a good bit of negotiating to get down there though :-) And that was after all incentives

My 2014 Summit has a VIN ending in 58xxxxx. It was built the last week of June.

Re: Is this a good deal for 2014 Overland?!?

VINs are not assigned sequentially...so they are not a good measure of when a vehicle went through production outside of the initial digit relative to model year. The only way to be sure when a vehicle was produced is to look at the plate in the door frame or look at the build sheet.

Speaking of build sheets, do you think if I sent FCA a very nicely worded request through the owners center, they might send me a copy for my rig?

You don't need to write or call...

Plug in your VIN and you're good to go.
