Re: IS this a good deal on a 2013 Overland?

That's what they all say, most of the time with a straight face. The pricing sites don't seem to help either, as Jeep has funky pricing models so I can't do a reasonable "bottom-up" approach like I can with other brands. I just know dealers are advertising $6k off MSRP on the 2013 overlands. These are not "demo" models, like some dealers will argue. These are new.

If you don't mind me asking, where are you located? I might be able to suggest a dealer to call within reasonable travel distance.

How much is the dealer's holdback - a certain percentage off Invoice?

Tom

Then I might suggest calling or emailing Steve White Motors outside of Charlotte. I think they'll ship for a nominal charge.

If they don't have what you want, there are a number of dealers around Atlanta who will give solid deals although you may have to pick it up.

EDIT: "White" not "Wright"

Wow! WHat do you think they would be able to do on this 2013 Overland with summit package? (Does that not make it a summit?)

If you really could get an Overland for that price, it would be fantastic. That Jeep costs the dealer around 44,000.

This is not a realistic price. Scam somewhere.

This was taken from the Steve White Jeep website. That is the factory window sticker. Is it incorrect?

The price you were quoted is too cheap to be realistic. Someone would be losing a lot of money to sell at that price you were "quoted"

Interesting you guys have good experiences with Steve White Motors, they're my local dealership.

When I went down to look at vehicles there they were rather upset that I'd be wanting to look at an Overland or Durango R/T. They said they didn't have any, and weren't going to get any in because they were too expensive and didn't sell. They did have a nicely equipped Limited and a few lesser equipped Limiteds and Laredo Xs, but their pricing didn't exactly seem to be impressive. They claimed they priced their cars at invoice, I told them we got special pricing through my employer, they said "we already beat that pricing by selling them at invoice". Um, no, we get them at 1% below invoice.

Maybe their internet department is better? Their front line sales guys didn't seem to be that great. I will say their service department is pretty good though, their facilities on the other hand needed to be upgraded a decade ago.
