overland v8 all options, 10k mi per year nothing upfront not even taxes: $603/month. on leasing dont ever put anything down not even taxes, learned my lesson when my bmw x5 got totaled and didnt get my taxes back.

Taxes depend on what state you live in. In my state you do not pay the taxes on a lease up front but in your individual monthly lease payment. But I do agree with you to not put anything down or as little as possible for a lease and for the reason you gave.

All they wanted to talk about was the payment and the guy was running back and forth to the manager.

They first had me at 419mo for 48months with my trade as a down payment. Not good at all. I'm probably going with a different dealership but I figured I'd ask here.
Dude these are huge red flags. Any dealer that wants to strictly talk monthly payment is trying to hide something. The whole running back and forth to 'the money guy' is another tactic they often use to make it seem like they're busting their balls to get you a deal.

They have msrp at about 39000 which is about 1000 more than truecar.com app shows in my area of long island ny. The negotiated selling price is 37000.

Terms are 419mo for 36mo. Taxes, dmv fees, first months payment down = around 2000-2500 which will come out of trade in.

I went on jeep.com and used they're payment calculator to see if I could do any better and I can't even come near this price so it seems good. I just want to make sure and feel like I'm doing good.

Bay ridge cdj tried to give a 2015 black on black altitude yesterday for 2500 out of pocket and $399 for 39mths. i currently have a 2012 Laredo and i liked the new altitudes until i found out it didn't have navi or backup cam or ful leather....my 12 has all that.... and i want all that...and the sticker was $39900.... for what i want, they came to me with the limited 1 package with the 20inch rims for $43000, $2500 out of pocket, $479 p/m for 39 months. we couldn't settle so i left..but my current lease isn't up till may.

Re: Is this a good deal on a lease?

I decided to sit on it for a while. I have a lot of other expenses right now doing a kitchen remodel, so I decided to wait till that's all done to start looking again. I'm confident I can get a nice deal in the dead of winter.

As far as the comment about not leasing at all. IMO I can't imagine owning this thing with all the tech crap that's loaded in them. I wouldn't want it outside of warranty. I like having a new car every few years. I've bought two cars and traded them both in after 2 years, and my current car is 3 years old.

Re: Is this a good deal on a lease?

I'm paying $597/72mo @ 2.34% for finance of a fully loaded altitude with backup cam, premium sound, and tow package. Included in that price is the maxcare lifetime warranty, the 5 yr window/paint/dent/upholstery protection plan and all taxes and fees. Only 500 down (from my order deposit). I couldn't justify leasing a car I can buy for 100 dollars more a month.
