Hard to say, depends on how it's optioned and what incentives are available.
You should be able to get invoice minus 1% and all incentives (which appear to be at least $1500), then plus taxes and fees.at a very minimum. Just doing a quick check, You should be able to get them down to somewhere around mid $35K to low $36K or so before taxes and fees.
Email the Koons Group buy coordinator for a quote, if you don't want to make the trip home from Tyson's Corner, VA at least use that as a bargaining chip.

You'd need to post a breakdown of the stuff above and beyond the price of the vehicle for us to know. I don't pay sales tax in NH so I can't compare my (potential- it's due in this week) deal to yours.
I'm looking to trade my 14 Overland in on a 2017 Altitude as well. The transmission issue on my 14 is driving me nuts! The best I got so far on a 17 Altitude was $38,880 MSRP - $3452 dealer discount = $35,438 - $1,500 Regional discount = $33,938 Plus TTL. Is this a good deal/ starting point? No thread jack intended.
That's kind of the same sort of deal mine was - I think there are better deals to be had, assuming you are willing to travel a little. I have learned this within the last 30 minutes of being on this forum!!!!
Thanks guys - these guys will say anything to get a sale apparently. I will probably have to go to another dealership as I don't trust this one anymore...
Koons is 6% off of invoice for a Grand Cherokee (unless you want a Trailhawk, which is 5% off invoice) then minus incentives, plus your state tax and a $600 "program fee" which is really the doc fee other dealers charge.
The caveat here is you need to take delivery from them but they make that pretty easy too AND you have to order one. No group buy discount for on the lot vehicles but I'll bet you could make a deal on one of those too.
However, they will give you a quote and with that, you may be able to negotiate a better deal locally. If not, it may not be a bad thing to buy from them and fly in and drive home.
When I was helping my uncle buy a Honda Accord a few years back I was able to get a ton of information from the edmunds forum but I can't find a single thread talking about buying. All the ones I came across have info for lease deals which I'm not interested in doing.

Use this information to figure out the invoice price of what you are looking at. That is the number you need to use as a basis point for what you "want to pay" for the vehicle. Anybody off the street can get 1% off invoice merely by having an affiliate code (either via their employer or by joining an organization such as Tread Lightly) Many dealers will sell at 3-5% off invoice...and that's before any available factory incentives come off. Add back any required sales tax, the destination fee and any administrative fees that a dealer charges to complete the transaction and you have your actual out the door cost.
And if it might be geographically realistic for you to take advantage of the Jeep Garage Group Buy, that price could be just the ticket.
I stopped at my dealer last weak and the sales manager told me they have 16 Altitudes on order already. They're popular. As they should be, since the blacked out trim on a Grand Cherokee offered from the factory was my idea on this forum where Chrysler got the idea.
Guess you need to look at the Trailhawk then, blacked out for less then the California edition.
Yeah, I know it's more (maybe not as the TH comes with a lot of those options including the tow package) but you may be able to work a deal. I ended up getting mine for under $40K OTD. The Trailhawk from Koons is 5% under invoice.
The Altitude is a "special edition" and historically, they have sometimes started them late and/or ended them early relative to model year production. Perhaps that is the case with ordering appearing to be cut off at this point for MY17 for the Laredo Altitude.
If you have some flexibility in your desires, you could select a different trim level and set of options that would meet your needs and if "blacked out" is your look, handle that yourself like so many others have done as documented in various build threads and in the Interior/Exterior/Visual/Lighting forum area up above.
You could also do a little harder negotiation with the dealer for the one you were looking at and reach out to other dealers who have inventory.
Could anyone send me their price sheet if they got a good discount from another dealer /koon's grp? They cannot give me a new quote because they cant order any more altitudes - I would like to use this as a bargaining chip for my altitude if possible. Thank you so much!!!
I have a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee High Altitude 4x4 V6 with HK stereo I've only had for a year and four months with 17,950 miles on it in perfect condition inside and out, (and no mechanical or electrical or any problems) that I might consider selling for $37,000. Sticker was $50,880. It would have to have dark walnut brown wood and pewter colored surrounds from a new black interior Overland though that I would have to replace it with (in place of black wood and silver surrounds).
I just traded in a 2014 Cherokee for a 2017 Grand Cherokee Altitude. Sticker price was $41,900 after incentives it was $38400. Probably didn't get the best deal but not the worst either. I absolutely love it so far. The rhino color and all the features it has is exactly what I wanted, so I jumped on it. Possibly could have got a better deal but I'm not losing sleep over it! Good luck on finding the right Altitude!
I got my 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland appraised for trade in over the weekend by two dealers including Carmax and they are giving me 25k. It currently has 38k miles on it. I don't think it's a bad deal as I bought it for 26,800 plus TTL. Put close to 4K miles on it since I bought it. Now I'm just trying to negotiate on a 17 Altitude or Limited 2 Package.
I'm actually negotiating right now to purchase an Altitude 4x2. It is a no option truck, with a $37,490 window. Dealer just forwarded the buyers order and it shows $3,750 in rebates (we qualify for Conquest rebate, no military).
So here is my question. Does anyone know if the current May 2017 rebates are higher or lower than the ones last month (April)? I am in Florida.
I ask because the bottom line price that they offered me a few days ago (end of April) was lower than the bottom line price they are offering now (beginning of May).
I thought the rebates were actually better this month (looking at Jeep.com), so I expected the OTD price to be lower. What gives? Seems like a dealer playing shenanigans, which would not surprise me.
If any insiders can shed some light on this, I would greatly appreciate it.
I got a Altitude 4x2 with every option but tow package and it had an MSRP of 39180 and I got it for $34,050 plus TTL. Got $25,750 for my 2014 Overland on trade in. This price includes Jeep regional incentive for $1,500 and a $500 rebate. The rest was dealer discount. Hope this helps. If May incentives are even higher then the price should be even lower.
It seems a little high, I got my Black 2016 Limited 4x4 with 8.4 NAV, Trailer package, sun roof, auto dim mirrors, and blind spot/cross path detection for $38k out the door. MSRP was $45k. Could be due to buying in December though. I'd keep trying!
I finally found another dealer (in GA) and locked in a better deal than the one that was jerking me around here in South Florida (imagine that. lol). White 4x2, no options, $37,490 MSRP for $31,600. We qualified for Conquest rebate, but not military.
As they say, everything happens for a reason Here, it was about 1,867 reasons.
Although now I have to fly up and drive it back, which I actually enjoy (spent $150 on a one-way ticket, picking it up Sunday).
Jeep GC Altitude for $4250 off MSRP of $40,585 (includes the $1,095 destination charge). Were leasing (open ended), ends just in time for when the new 2020's will be out, or if 2020's are not so good, will just buy out this one.
