Re: Is this a good price for a JGC Laredo Altitude?

When I was helping my uncle buy a Honda Accord a few years back I was able to get a ton of information from the edmunds forum but I can't find a single thread talking about buying. All the ones I came across have info for lease deals which I'm not interested in doing.

Yeah I don't mind traveling as long as it's not too far like a 250 mile radius from me. I love everything about my 14 Overland but the damn transmission shifts is driving me crazy. I bought my 14 used just over 2 months ago. I even got a killer deal on it. $26,800 plus TTL. It's super clean and only had 34,074 miles when I bought it.

Use this information to figure out the invoice price of what you are looking at. That is the number you need to use as a basis point for what you "want to pay" for the vehicle. Anybody off the street can get 1% off invoice merely by having an affiliate code (either via their employer or by joining an organization such as Tread Lightly) Many dealers will sell at 3-5% off invoice...and that's before any available factory incentives come off. Add back any required sales tax, the destination fee and any administrative fees that a dealer charges to complete the transaction and you have your actual out the door cost.

And if it might be geographically realistic for you to take advantage of the Jeep Garage Group Buy, that price could be just the ticket.

I just heard from the group buy - they are unable to order any more altitudes for the rest of the year...

Re: Is this a good price for a JGC Laredo Altitude?

I stopped at my dealer last weak and the sales manager told me they have 16 Altitudes on order already. They're popular. As they should be, since the blacked out trim on a Grand Cherokee offered from the factory was my idea on this forum where Chrysler got the idea.

I have no idea, but it sounds like maybe they cranked a bunch out and then stopped. I wonder if they have another special edition upcoming in the works or what the deal is.

Haha, thats what i did a week ago. What do u have a hemi or 3.6? My hemi's electric shifter was driving me insane as it was getting stuck.

Ur pricing above was similar to mine instead ur 33 was 32 for me. Sticker was 37k but had dealer discount down to 31998. Pricing was good n gave me good change for the overland. 0 down. So far loving the Altitude.

Re: Is this a good price for a JGC Laredo Altitude?

Guess you need to look at the Trailhawk then, blacked out for less then the California edition.

Yeah, I know it's more (maybe not as the TH comes with a lot of those options including the tow package) but you may be able to work a deal. I ended up getting mine for under $40K OTD. The Trailhawk from Koons is 5% under invoice.

Re: Is this a good price for a JGC Laredo Altitude?

The Altitude is a "special edition" and historically, they have sometimes started them late and/or ended them early relative to model year production. Perhaps that is the case with ordering appearing to be cut off at this point for MY17 for the Laredo Altitude.

If you have some flexibility in your desires, you could select a different trim level and set of options that would meet your needs and if "blacked out" is your look, handle that yourself like so many others have done as documented in various build threads and in the Interior/Exterior/Visual/Lighting forum area up above.

You could also do a little harder negotiation with the dealer for the one you were looking at and reach out to other dealers who have inventory.

Could anyone send me their price sheet if they got a good discount from another dealer /koon's grp? They cannot give me a new quote because they cant order any more altitudes - I would like to use this as a bargaining chip for my altitude if possible. Thank you so much!!!

Re: Is this a good price for a JGC Laredo Altitude?

I have a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee High Altitude 4x4 V6 with HK stereo I've only had for a year and four months with 17,950 miles on it in perfect condition inside and out, (and no mechanical or electrical or any problems) that I might consider selling for $37,000. Sticker was $50,880. It would have to have dark walnut brown wood and pewter colored surrounds from a new black interior Overland though that I would have to replace it with (in place of black wood and silver surrounds).
