The Jeep: 3 recalls. Multiple software updates (this doesn't generally bother me actually but the updates felt needed). Dead oil pressure sensor resulting in a 2 week wait for a redesigned one (Chrysler provided a free rental during the wait). All in the first year.
Now that said, the Jeep overall experience is better than anything I've owned and I'm still very happy with it and probably wouldn't choose differently if given the chance given that everything has been taken care of. I might feel differently if this continues, but I really love this Jeep. :-) That says something great about what they've built, but they do need to really focus on this issue going forward.
I personally feel they are sprinting forward just a bit faster than they can cleanly handle, but the result is nonetheless awesome overall, with huge resulting sales by producing something a big step ahead of much of the competition in many aspects.
Being an early adopter doesn't help either I purchased in Aug of 2013 which explains quite a bit. My other cars were all near end of model purchases. Food for thought.
