MSRP on this is $45,860. Not a cheap car by any means for a small sedan...
My husband says you're going to love your car! We were considering an a6 but we were already mostly set on a BMW.

Thanks, I test drove it and I realized how much I missed driving a euro sedan. I really considered the new F30 chassis 3-series, but availability for a new 328 Xdrive (Northeast winter) was not possible for months. That meant that the resale on the WK2 would be even more damaging. Never again will I buy a fully loaded american vehicle. You cannot get your money back as incentives and discounts for new vehicles just plummet your resale value.

I had a 98 M3 Coupe as well as a 2007 Audi A4 and just love the handling and feel. You will love yours as well...

Pic from the dealer after it was swapped in from Conneticut, ready for me to deliver tomorrow, can't wait!

This is my first car car, also my first non American car. I've had two Tahoes, an Acadia, and the Jeep; and none of them can compare to the BMW in my mind.

Do you mind sharing what year was your Overland, what engine, mileage, and how much you got for it in trade? Good to hear you're happy with your decision. You too Overland_Mom. I guess I got lucky as I'm happy with my '12 Overland Hemi. The only reason I'm asking for price is I'm considering a 2014 if they make it with all black Overland Summit interior or S-Limited with the SRT8 interior, which if they do I only have 6 months more of depreciation to worry about. And my parents would buy mine as they love the Brilliant Black with the beige interior. Don't get me wrong, I love it as is, just always wanted the all black high end interior.

Mine was a '12. Hemi had 3,700 miles, and 35,000 for trade in.

Re: It Was Good While It Lasted

2011 Summit, Hemi with 11,700 miles with MSRP of $49,200. Bought for $45,500 minus $1000 incentive, Owned exactly, one year to the month and got $33,000.
I Basically took a bath on the trade...

I was talking to my salesman, and since it was end of the month, I got 10% off the MSRP of the Audi and they wanted to meet the quota. They really wanted to give me the best on the trade-in so they can get my sale when I was haggling. With that said, they called jeep dealers in the area if they wanted to buy it so that I can trade it in and get tax benefits, since in NJ you only pay taxes on the NET difference between new car price and the trade-in. The salesman said, the jeep dealers literally said that they do not want it, since new car prices on the WK2 is so attractive with the incentives and discounts. The kicker is I called and talked to 5 Jeep dealers personally in the area and asked the used car manager if they wanted to buy my Jeep, since they probably don't have to spend 1 penny certifying it, since it is still practically new, and none of them called me back for an offer.

I really felt crappy after that...

Lastly, maybe it's just me, but I will not miss the brake pedal position on this car. It is too high off the floor and too much to the left. I have a 9.5 shoe size so I don't necessarily have a small feet as well...

Re: It Was Good While It Lasted

Thanks for the info. both of you. I guess I at least have the leverage that I don't need to buy a new 2014 WK2 when I go in to discuss it, IF Jeep even makes the 2014 the way I want it.

Re: It Was Good While It Lasted

The only American SUV's I've seen hold their value well were the CRD Jeep GC's from a couple years back.

People never sold/traded theirs, and when they did, they were gone as soon as they were cleaned up and back on the lot.

I recalled seeing one of them going for the same amount as an almost new one a couple years ago...

Have you priced used 2011+ Explorers lately? Most around here are well into the $30Ks, and not much less than new.

I agree with you on that front; nothing compares to the Ultimate Driving Machines. I had two BMW's before my Jeep and I do miss them. But, I ended up with a lower model GC so that I can add another BMW to the lineup as a second car...but don't get me wrong, I still love the Grand Cherokee.

Agreed, the A4 is a gorgeous, classy car. (I'm a big fan of all of the "big 3" Audi sedans (A4, A6, A8) for that reason.)

As is the 335i. Overland_Mom, sorry about the issues you had with your dealer, and hope you enjoy the 335i! Looking forward to those pictures.

You'll like the 3 series except for the size. Its a small car. My wife likes her 328xi for around town because its easy to park, and the AWD gives her confidence when the skies open up here. When we go on trips we take the Jeep because it rides better and has lots of room.
