I know that pano roof is standard I was just using that as an example... Its just weird that the 730N RHR is in the options list for my Jeep. You would think that if my order did not include the 730N that it would not be on that list in the first place. Whats really weird is that the MSRP for my Overland before the new 730N even was announced is $46,255 with the 430N. This order sheet is actually taking money off of that price so its even cheaper than the original MSRP. You would think it would take $465 off of $46,720 to credit you back to the new original MSRP with the 430N which is $46,255. F'ing weird!
Well I guess I gotta call the dealer again. Man, Chrysler is really making things difficult here with the new Grand Cherokee's.

Milous what are your thoughts on my order sheet above?

Thanks,
James

EDIT: Just spoke with the sales manager yet again and he said he for sure added 730N in his computer for my order and when he builds another one it shows the extra $465 added into the MSRP so he cant explain why mine comes up as a credit right now. He said it may be some sort of issue in the computer. He said he is going to call chrysler and see what that say. Oh well either way its the saddle that was more important to me and atleast that comes up correctly. Im sure it will all be worked out I just dont know why it has to be so difficult.

For example it doesnt show rear DVD in the options list then give a credit for that because I opted for the pano sunroof. Weeeiiirrddd.

Has anyone placed an order since the 12th that can check their order sheet and see what it says? I guess thats not as big of a deal to me is the saddle is so atleast that seems to be in there correctly. The other day when I spoke with the sales manager who ordered this vehicle for me he said the MSRP was $46,720 which would be the correct amount.

James -

I'll check Monday. My order for almost the identical vehicle was placed the same day and I received a call from the dealer saying it too was accepted. I'll have to post here since I don't have 10 posts can't PM you yet and my site supportor contribution hasn't been picked up yet.

Sounds good let me know. My sales manager will be contacting chrysler first thing monday he said to find out if there are any problems and to confirm my order includes the RHR. Were you able to slip a Saddle order through on wednesday as well or did you get a different interior?

I was told my order was accepted, but then as we are all finding out, "sometimes" we are told what we want to hear.
We used to trade cars/trucks every couple years, but now keep them 5-7 years and really want, what I want. I want Mineral Gray with saddle and 730N. They same vehicle they have had in their commercials and brochures from the begining. If something is held up, I'll wait (at least for a while)
Just seems crazy to release a new vehicle that they can't keep up with production/supply, then introduce another trim model (the Summit).
The Summit could easily have been a 2012, but maybe they didn't want to distract from the SRT8.

Awesome, well thats cool if we were both able to slip in a couple of saddle orders when they really werent supposed to. I agree about the waiting for exactly what you want. Just as you said its a bit frustrating though when Jeep advertises the crap out of a car only to find out its going to be next to impossible to get it (atleast in the immediate future). As of now its looking good for both of us hopefully things keep going the way they are. I personally think we both have two of the best Overlands combinations on order. Mineral Gray/Dark Charcoal with saddle!! Keep me up to date with your order, as for me I just gotta make sure the 730N will be in my car. Who knows what the heck is up with my order sheet pricing.

Gotta be some sort of glitch in the system. I did some test builds and they all came up with +$465 for the RHR.

Yeah I think so. When I talked to the sales manager again explaining that the 730N came up as a credit on my order sheet he couldnt really explain that, but he did say when he tried to build another order it showed +$465. He did confirm to me though that 730N RHR was selected for my Overland and he said he is going to talk to Chrysler tomorrow just to double check.

Thanks,
James

Re: Its official Saddle interior and new 730N RHR now available!!!

James -

I called the dealer today. They pulled the POC. They were suppose to fax it to me, but I didn't receive it before I left.
It is ordered, but that really doesn't mean much. The disclosure on the bottom of a POC really says it all (or actually says nothing about what you will actually get)

"The prices and equiptment shown on this priced order confirmation are tenative and subject to change or correction without prior notification. No claims against content listed or prices quoted will be accepted. Refer to the vehicle invoice for final vehicle content and pricing. Orders are accepted only when vehicle is shipped by the factory."

I really want to believe that Chrysler actually opened up ordering for the Saddle/Black interior for one day (?), and your vehicle and mine slipped through, but I suppose we'll have to wait and see, because, with a disclosure like this, they can do (and have) whatever they want.

I do know that mine required a regional/zone manager to push through since my dealer (long time big Chrysler/Dodge, but new Jeep dealer) didn't have an allotment for an Overland. Let's keep our fingers crossed.

Mike

The Saddle interior is back on restriction for non-Summit models.

Re: Its official Saddle interior and new 730N RHR now available!!!

Can someone tell me what the "problem" is with the 430? I just took delivery on Saturday of a Cherokee Overland. I thought it would have the 730 in it, but it came with the 430 (Garmin GPS). Other than not having voice command for entering GPS addresses, what's the difference? The Garmin interface is great, BTW.

That's pretty much it, no voice integration, no Sirius traffic (until they update it on Feb.), no dead reckoning, no split screen.

It's really personal preference. My preference is the 430N so I hope Jeep doesn't decide to slide in a 730N(RER) in its place like they did on one Overland I saw the other day.

Yeah we know, but can you confirm that it actually came off for a couple days last week? There are a couple of us that were able to successfully order saddle on the 12th. Was this intentional or was it not really supposed to be open for normal Overlands? Just kind of curious if it was an error or if they really did intend on offering saddle for a few days then put it back on hold.

Thanks,
James
