As thin as the sheet metal is I would be afraid to do that personally. Hell if I push too hard washing the hood "pops" lol.. Pretty thick blanket I would assume to not get dents from the weight. Not to mention laying a tree on the pano moonroof. No thanks. But to each their own

A christmas tree is not heavy enough or pointy enough to dent or damage the roof, unless you dropped it on the roof. Its not like strapping a log to your roof, it has limbs and needles and such that are soft that spread the weight. An 8 foot Christmas tree probably doesn't weigh more than 40 pounds anyways.

I just use a sheet, not even a blanket. No dents. Been carrying christmas trees on cars my whole life...as has most everybody else who celebrates Christmas without damaging their vehicles.

Its a Jeep. Thats like buying a pair of Timberland boots and only wearing them when its sunny IMHO.

In the picture you cant tell well it was actually an old full size comforter that is folded over in half, I know what you mean about the thin sheet metal lol. Every time I was my car and I am washing/drying around the sunroof I think its going to pop out lol

Depends on the tree.. I think we get a Fraser fir which does have some solid branches sticking out that would easily gouge into a sheet and cause damage.. Then there's the real fluffy soft branch ones. Either way, no fn way I will place an Xmas tree on my paint/glass or any other object for that matter lol.. If I didn't have a rack or trailer I would wrap it up and put it inside over put it on top personally.

Re: It's That Time of Year Again

LOL I didnt want needles in the car or my paint messed up. My Jeep still smells new on the inside so the last thing I wanted was for it to smell like a pine tree lol.

Anything touching your paint -- you are asking for swirls.
